Reg is ready to leave behind the workhouse and start working on making a living for himself. His sets out for Greying Tower, the city of trade, harbor and gold. However, illness begins in the city and the people are growing desperate for a cure. The people are noticing that the king is absent, and fear that a war for the throne among the wealthy will be arising. Where will Reg stand among the citizens and what will he be willing to do to settle down?
