~Natsu's POV~
The four were heading up the hill when they heard screams, causing all of them to start running, hurrying to where the screams originated."Well, we found them." A gruff voice said as they came into earshot. "Let's start heading back."
When the person who had talked came into view, Natsu almost froze. There were five people, and the teens from before were on the ground, passed out, looking almost like they were dead.the only thing that told Natsu that they weren't was the slight rise and fall of their chests.
"What did they do to them?" Lucy whispered, horrified.
"I doubt they'll be outside for quite a while." Another one of the figures said, a soft feminine voice, earning some laughter from the others.
"You got that right." Another one of the figures said, a small fire above his hand.
Natsu watched in anger as the figures walked towards the teens, before they could get close he jumped from the bushes. "Fire Dragon Iron Fist!" He exclaimed, punching one of the figures away.
"Natsu! You can't just run in like that!" Gray exclaimed, jumping out after him.
"Let's not talk about that now, okay?" Natsu asked. "More fighting and less chatter."
Gray just sighed, and started fighting the trainers, who were now trying to fight back, a shot of lightning narrowly missed Natsu's head as he slightly moved to the side.
After the two of them beat three of the figures, the other two grabbed their friends and ran, leaving the FairyTail members with the passed out wizards.
"Let's get them to the hospital. They don't look too well." Gray said, looking at one of the passed out wizards, who's hood fell off to show a girls delicate looking face, short musky brown hair spreading out around her head.
Natsu nodded, and picked up two of them, while Gray picked up one, Happy picked up another, and Lucy placed the last one on her back, then, they all headed down the hill towards the guild hall.
~Kayla's POV~
Kayla woke with a start, quickly sitting up and looking around wildly, her breath coming in short gasps.Where was she? She didn't recognize this place. Why was she in a bed? Where were the others?
"Calm down Kayla." A voice said, causing Kayla to look to her left, seeing Voodoo with bandages around her head. "We're not back there. We're in the FairyTail hospital or something."
"FairyTail? The Wizard's Guild FairyTail?" Kayla asked, calming down a bit at the sight of her friend.
Voodoo nodded. "Yeah."
"Are the other's here?"
"Yeah, they're all here. Though still unconscious."
"How long?"
"When I woke up I was told I had been unconscious for three days. It's been a day since I've woken up, so for you, four days."
Kayla fell silent. She was usually the last one awake from that spell, she looked over to her left, towards April, in front of her was Finny, and next to him was Melody, her ears were flat against her head, and she was breathing heavily, twitching in her sleep.
"She's having another one of her nightmares, isn't she?" Kayla asked.
"Yeah. It started a couple minutes ago. Usually she wakes up after they end. Heaven knows when that'll happen."
Melody hadn't been born into Death's Storm like the rest of them, she had been brought in as a child. None of the others in the group knew about her life before the guild, she never talked about it, and they never asked. Her nightmares come at random from what Kayla knew.
"Apparently there's been a little girl coming in on us once and a while, healing us with magic, she was healing me when I woke up, and she explained some things, that's how I know where we are, I doubt she'll be coming in for a while, I think it's the middle of the night."
After that, the two sat in silence, and after a couple of minutes, Kayla spoke up. "I'm sorry."
"What are you sorry for?" Voodoo asked.
"I should of smelled them! If I had we wouldn't be here, we wouldn't of been in this room unconscious! We would be out, still on the run!" She exclaimed.
"And they would of found us somewhere else." Voodoo said. "Those wizards wouldn't of found us! We would of been brought back there! Don't blame yourself for this Kayla."
Kayla looked at her, feeling her eyes water. She moved her wrist to wipe away a tear that fell from her eye. "I-I guess your right." She said softly.
Suddenly there was a loud shout, causing Kayla and Voodoo to look at the now awake Melody.
Melody was breathing heavily, her ears flat on her head, she looked around wildly, then her eyes landed on Kayla and Voodoo, and her breathing seemed to slow a bit, her ears slightly raising from her head.
"Hey Melody." Kayla said with a small smile.
"Hey. Where are we?" She asked.
After Kayla filled Melody in on where they were, the three waited in silence, and soon, all five of them were awake, sitting in the beds.
"We need a plan." Finny said.
"I doubt they'll let us leave tomorrow. I have a feeling that they'll insist that we stay and rest." April stated, her voice soft.
"Yeah." Kayla agreed. "They must know of us by our abilities and nicknames. Luckily, the public doesn't know our actual names, so if we manage to conceal our actual magic, we should be able to be safe. They shouldn't suspect anything."
The others nodded.
"Then I'll only turn into real creatures, or creatures that aren't from a long time ago." Finny said. "Say I have Transformation magic."
"And I'll avoid using stone, and stronger spells of inprisonment." April added. "I could use ice and other things. Make it look sloppy, I guess."
"I still have that wizards fire magic." Melody pointed out. "I can just be a Fire Mage."
"I can just make people move, I don't have to make them use their abilities or tell me their secrets." Voodoo suggested.
"And I'll just use lightning spells. Nobody should know about me being a Dragon Slayer." Kayla finished. "Though I might have to hide my scent from that Fire Dragon Slayer... But hopefully, it won't be a problem."
"We got this." Finny said.
The others nodded, "Yeah." They agreed.
