The Seasons Are Changing

Ever changing from frost and snow,
To lively chirrups and colourful rows,
Winter fades away to Spring,
And with it, cares and suffering.
Shrivelled flowers bloom once more,
By Jove! Go sing and dance!
Spring is in the air,
Don't waste a single chance!

From iridescent colours
To a brilliant golden glaze,
Spring grows smaller,
And starts off Summer days.
Dive in clear blue waters,
Swim in cerulean seas,
Lose yourself in laughter,
May golden days never cease.

From Summer's brilliant haze,
To orange-yellow scenes,
In the Fall wind,
Dance the Autumn trees.
The trees are fire once more,
Shimmering colours dance with the wind,
Everything is calmly passing,
Like a heart beating still.

From Autumn fires to icy winds,
Winter withers away all in its path.
The frost and snow are here once more,
The world awaiting its timely depart.
Yet all is white and beautiful,
Though cold and harsh and grey,
Everyone is smiling and laughing,
Warm hearts fighting the cold away.

At the beauty in the way they change,
I stand still, amazed and awed.
From Summer to Autumn to Winter to Spring,
The seasons change, the world continues to spin.
Round and round, year after year,
Centuries old, with so many stories to hear.
So listen and wonder, wait and watch,
The beautiful symphonies, all to the ticking of the clock.
