Last night I lay underneath the moonlight
watching the stars glow from down below.
There was one which shone
more than any other did.
My mind drifted to the thought of you
how you brought light to the darkness of my life
how you filled it like the stars in the empty sky
Keeping me from the darkness of the night
that awaited behind your light
I lie here tonight under the moonlight
