You have fallen from a very high place within a mountain. You thought you should be dead, but you're not. Instead of going splat on the ground, you fell on a bed of tiger lilies. Light shines from above down to you and the patch of flowers. Everything else around you was dark, but you managed to see a path that leads somewhere else. You decide to follow it.
In the next room, there stood a lonesome tiger lily under another ray of light. You walk towards it. You realized this is no ordinary tiger lily. This flower appeared to have a face on it. You inch closer to it and saw it blink.
"Hi!" the flower said. "I'm Bloomy. Bloomy the flower."
Bloomy examines you closely. "Hmm... you're new to the underground, aren't ya?"
You nodded.
"Welp," Bloomy says, "Guess lil' old me will have to teach you how things work around here, huh? Ready? Here we go!"
He then began to explain your soul is the very culmination of your being and it can grow with the help of something called HP.
"'What does HP stand for?' you ask?" he says. "Why, HOPE of course!" Suddenly, little floating spheres began to surround Bloomy.
"Down here, Hope is shared through..." he pauses. "Little yellow... glitter balls."
Then, as if controlled by him, the balls began to move towards you.
"Now, move around. Catch as many as you can!" he says.
You approached one of the balls. As you made contact with it, you felt a sharp pain pierce through you. You look at Bloomy to find that his friendly smile had been replaced by an evil grin.
"You idiot." he growls in a menacing voice. "In this world, it's hurt or get hurt. How could anyone pass up an opportunity like this?" A circle of 'glitter balls' surrounds you.
"DIE!" he cackles as the circle gets smaller and smaller closing you in.
You felt as if this was the end of you. But then, the balls disappear. You and Bloomy look at each other in confusion.
Suddenly, a little tornado the size of Bloomy whisks the little flower out of sight making him say, "Ow!"
