"Melissa."

Melissa flinched as her name was called. She was cleaning the young master's study. Ciel was there too, doing work, "Yes, master? I-Is there something wrong?"

"Easy, I won't bite."

"Right! Sorry."

"I just wanted to know if you knew how to play chess."

Melissa stared at the chessboard and went thinking. What was Ciel talking about? Was he talking about being an expert player? Or was it about knowing how to play in general? Which one?! She decided to be honest, "Uh... I know how to play, I just don't think I'm good at it though."

"If you know how to play then you have a chance to win. Come on."

"You said it. I didn't." Melissa shrugged as she took a seat on the side of the table where the board was opposing Ciel, who smirked and sat down also, "How about a bet, Melissa?"

Melissa's eyes widened and blushed at the expression Ciel was holding, groaning too at the suggestion, making Ciel glare, "Is there some matter bothering you in this subject?"

Melissa flinched, "U-Uh... None, master. What's the bet, exactly?"

"There's no fun in telling you so soon." Ciel arranged the pieces, as he assumed about winning full victory. Yep, this was a bad choice. Melissa gulped. Instead of taking action, she just simply hoped for the best, "Let's just start it, g-geez..."

A few hours later, a checkmate came.

"I win." Blunt as ever. Ciel's victory, Melissa's loss, "Now... For the bet... Tomorrow, come to the rose garden. 9 AM sharp. Don't waste my time. I had forced Sebastian to completely wipe out my schedule for it." His stern voice surrounded the area before he left, leaving you alone in his study.

"Ciel..." You sighed.

*Time Skippu to next day*

9 AM sharp. Arriving 5 minutes earlier, to be safe, Melissa patiently waited for Ciel to arrive, "Wonder what he could've planned for today?"

She picked a rose and took a sniff, "Wuahh... Sebastian sure does a good job at planting these..." Melissa smiled and looked at the sky. The sky was blue like Ciel's bright eyes, she thought. She had a good feeling about all this now. Thanks to that bet. She finally heard footsteps coming up close, "Ciel― Master?" Melissa turned around seeing black instead of blue. Sebastian instead of Ciel, "I'm afraid the young master's not around, but he did order me to give you these." Sebastian gave her a little opaque, glass-like textured, blue box with a letter stuck to it, "Can I read it?" She requested. Recieving a nod, she hastily opened the letter.

Melissa,

I've set up a little quest for you. All you have to do is to hunt for the items being described. Clues are enlisted. But whatever you do, DO NOT open the box.
