The moon stays bright when it doesn't avoid the night.

December 26th

She rested her head on his lap, thick rimmed glasses sitting at the bridge of her nose and a library copy of The Impossible Knife of Memory in her hands- Laurie Halse Anderson being her favorite author of this month. Lazarus softly stroked her head, while remaining focus on the football game taking place. The peaceful silence was broken when a ringing filled the air. Saturn quickly picks up the phone, and glances at the screen before groaning and tapping the decline button.

"Who was that?"

"Some guy in my economics class, who has a crush on me. He's been calling and texting me non-stop for a two weeks and it's getting irritating."

"How does he have your number?"

"Viola."

"Viola?" Saturn's best friend and the only person in their life who loathed Lazarus - almost as much as he hated her.

"Yep."

"Why would she do that?"

"She hates you, babe." Lazarus growled lowly and shift away from Saturn. Noticing his reaction, she sat up and stares into his eyes. "Come on, Laz. You know she hates you, she has since the day she met you."

"Doesn't give her the right to give your number to the first guy she deems suitable. Even if she does hate me, this guy is obvious obsessed with you and you're in relationship. Viola needs to respect that."

"You're right. That's why I told her to go talk to him a couple of days ago. Everything will be handle in a few. Okay?"

"Okay."

She smiles broadly. "Okay."
