Pitch black, pale blue,
It was a stained glass
Variation of the truth
And I felt empty handed.

"Do you care about anything?" She growls, letting the dirty dish fall from her grip and fall onto the floor with a loud shatter.

"That's not it-"

"Then what is it? Huh? All you do it mope around, you refuse to do anything outside of the your apartment and I told you I love you months ago," She pauses choking back a sob, "and I never got anything in return. Do you even want to be- Forget it. I'm heading to my class and when I get back I'll start packing my things."

Eulalia shoves past into the bedroom. Lazarus watches as she gathered her books and walk out the door, tears streaming down her her face. His heart began to ache when the door slammed, just like it had over a year ago. Next would come waiting until he got that familiar call. Tears would roll down his face and guilt will consume his life once more.

He should have stopped her.

He could have stopped her.

He stopped her.

Halfway into her car and Lazarus was by Eulalia's side, a firm hold of her arm. "I'm sorry." He breathed out.

"I love you and I'm sorry. I'm sorry I put you through months of doubt. I'm sorry making you feel unloved, sorry for not making you feel beautiful or worthy. I'm sorry..."

  "Laz, I can-"

  "Stay...Please."

He stared down at her, hope and so much sorrow filled in his eyes.  "Plea-"

  "Okay."

  "Okay?"

  She smiles. "Okay."
