Chapter 13

~Marks POV~

I heard Kayla scream and headed to the  room. I opened the door to see her on the floor crying. "Kayla what's wrong?" I said leaning close to her. "L-leave me a-alone" she said while pushing me away. "Darling, I'm here to help you, now tell me what happen." I said softly.

"T-they came..t-those people t-that came..t-they..are m-my parents" she said sobbing all over again. I was shock. "Those were her parents?" I thought. I grabbed Kayla and hugged her tight. "It's okay sweetheart, they aren't going to hurt you, I'm here, and I'm not leaving your side" I said while rubbing her back.

She looked up at me with tears running down her face. She smiled. I loved that about her. That smile she smiled that showed her dimple. (In real life I only have one dimple) "I need water, can you bring me water dad?" She said wiping the tears off her face. "Yea sure, I'll be back in a bit" I headed out the room and went to the nearest vending machine.

~Kayla's POV~

When Mark left the room, I texted Ethan to come in the room. I heard the door open and saw Ethan walking in. "Dude don't freak out but I'm about to show you something crazy" I said walking up to him. "What is so crazy that you have to show me?" He said crossing his arms on his chest. I go to the small table right next to the bed and grab the pen. "Hold this" I said handing him the pen.

I concentrated really hard to make the pen disappear. Nothing worked. "So this is what you wanted to show me?" He said raising his eyebrow. "N-no I'm trying to show you what I can do ugh" I said frustrated. "Well it's not working..what are you trying to do?" He said chuckling. "I'm trying to make the pen disappear!" I screamed in frustration.

He started laughing uncontrollably. "What? do you think I'm lying?" I said clenching my fists. He calmed down and looked at me, "yea, I totally think you lying.. That's crazy talk right there Kayla" he said crossing his arms over his chest. "So you think I'm crazy?" I said walking up to him slowly.

"N-no, I just said that you were saying something crazy" he said while backing up. "So whatever I say you think it's crazy?" I said whispering in his ear. "Kayla if you hurt m-" "huh? What are you going to do about it then? Ethan" I said looking at him strait in the eyes. "Kayla.. Control yourself" he said nervously.

"I can't control my self and you know it!" I said slamming my fist against the wall. When I removed my fist from the wall I looked at it and saw that I left a hole. Ethan tuned around and saw it too. "Kayla.. What's happening to you?" He said turning around and looking at me again. "N-nothing's wrong I-I'm fine...I-m perfectly f-fine" I said looking at him again.

"Your lying"

"I'm n-not lying"

"You stutter when you lie"

"N-no I d-don't" I said while my hands were firing up. I looked down at them and there was fire. Ethan looked down and saw that my hands were flaming up too.He was shocked. He was scared. "You see Ethan.. This is why I told you not to mess with me!" I was about to fire at him when someone opened the door.

I turned around to see Mark standing at the door with a cup of water. He dropped the cup and ran towards me and Ethan. I let go of Ethan and ran to the other side of the bed. I put a fire barrier so that Mark couldn't get through."Kayla..how can you do this? Release this barrier and let me through!" Mark screamed. I remembered that I could disappear, but I didn't know how. I looked down at my arms to see I still had those medical tubes stuck to my arms. I took them off and ran to the door.
