Chapter 1

~flashback~
"Look at her she's a monster" mom said as I stand still crying after I had burned the doctor to crisps. "What are we supposed to do? They'll think that we did this mess and put us in jail!" Dad said worried that they will find the doctor burned to crisps.

"I don't know James we have to get rid of her" mom looked scared at me while I question what she meant of  getting rid of me. "Mommy what do you mean by getting rid of me?" I asked confused as to why she would say that.

"Look Kayla it complicated but what I meant by getting rid of you its that we have to give you away" by this point I knew nothing and I meant nothing of what she was talking about. "Angie hurry they're coming! Quick grab Kayla we'll take her to the nearest orphanage"

I was very confused what did they meant by orphanage? Mom grabbed me and ran out of the hospital room. We were closed to the entrance when I noticed some cops running after us. I wonder what we did? "Mommy, Daddy why are we running from the cops?" They didn't answer instead we ran past some nurses and out of  the hospital.

We ran until we got to the parking lot outside our car. We zoomed out of the hospital and into the street of  LA. The cops never even got us, I thought mom and dad did something bad. Oh well I guess mom and dad are good people. We took a sharp turn until we reached a big old dusty house.

The words on a sign said "LOS ANGELES ORPHANAGE" I wonder why mommy and daddy would bring me here. We got out of the car and we walked to the entrance of the orphanage. I turned around and looked at mom and dad with confusion in my eyes.

Mom spoked up " Kayla you will be staying here until me and daddy come back, we just have to get a few quick thing from the store" I wanted to cry mom and dad never left my side, well only when they went to work. "Why can't I come with you?" I said with my puppy dog eyes.

Mom looked at my dad with guilt in her eyes. "Honey the things that we have to get are from a store that are only for grown ups like me and daddy" I looked at her now understanding what she had to do. I decided it was correct for me to go inside and wait. Mom and dad gave me a last kiss on the cheek and went their merry way to the store.

I walked inside and saw other kids of  different ages playing along or talking. I thought to myself  "maybe They're waiting for their mom and dad too." I decided to play with some kid that looked my age. I was somewhat happy.

Till this day I still wonder what was wrong with me so they could reject me and leave me in an orphanage?
