Mood

Hey guys! So this is a piece I wrote for my English class. It's kinda sad (at least I think so lol), but I'm proud of it nevertheless, so here it is. The prompt was to write a poem/essay on the mood of the day.

Like a fresh can of paint, the mood is mixed. Emotions run wild through the hallways in our minds. The sun is bright and warm, but the air and ground are cold in contrast. People are happy for the weekend and what it may bring, but must wait until the last bell on Friday to feel free. The weekend brings excitement and new experiences, but at a cost of time and money. The season's almost over, and new times are ahead. Less games, less matches, less STRESS, but let it be known that even though the memories and experiences will be but a distant memory by this time next year, they will never be forgotten. Spring is coming, but alas the groundhog saw its shadow, six more weeks of white. The future is ever changing, and although the constant adjustments may be intriguing, they bring waves of emotions we may not be ready to face. All we can do is stand tall and march on.
