Okay so first off, the last chapter was a little confusing. Good thing you got your little ol' trusty author to explain the plot holes. Now, James just ate a Hiran. These creatures are highly deadly and evil etc. So, to explain what in God's name these creatures are and what they do, we will backtrack to the life of the beast that James just ate. Now, I know I'm getting a little off track from the main characters storyline but he's not important anyway so it doesn't matter.

The Hiran that James ate was named, Derek. Derek wasn't always this way; he was a kind, smart, nerdy, kinda weaboo trash, guy.

Three months prior to his gruesome and untimely demise, Derek worked at his desk in a cubicle. He never committed a crime and he just lived every day the best he possibly could. He made a lot of friends and was liked by almost everyone.

Derek was probably one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. Too bad he became lunch in 3 months. Anyways; here's Derek's story real quick. Sort of.

Derek looked at his computers clock reading "5:00" with a great joy, he clocked out of work and rushed to the elevator. Today was a big day for him. He walked down the usual city sidewalk to his brick apartment complex. He walked into his room but not before saying hello to the elderly owner.

Derek walked to his bed and shoved his hand under it. He felt around for a felt box and smiled when he brought it out of it's hiding spot. Today was the day he would ask Doctor Amelia Rose to marry him. He called her at around six o'clock that day and asked her to be ready by eight. He didn't tell her what his plan was, of course. That cutie Derek didn't want to spoil his, soon to be fiances, surprise. What a man.

He picked her up at her two story brick house in his Pontiac Firebird. She walked out in a beautiful blue dress that seemed to sparkle in the moonlight and he was practically drooling at the sight of her. She got in the car and Derek smiled at her showing is straight pearly white teeth.

They went to the beach where Derek had rented the dock for the night which cost him over three months pay and the ring cost a lot more than that. You know a man's committed when he spends well over a year's pay on a girl.

They walked along the beach for a bit talking about work and how their days were going. They finally made it to the edge of the pier and looked out at the glistening sea while holding hands. Finally, Derek grew the balls to do what he went there to do. He went down to one knee as Amelia covered her mouth with tears in her eyes.

"Amelia, you mean the world to me and I love you more than anything. Would you make me the happiest person and ma-" Derek was cut off.

Suddenly a black spike went straight through Derek's body and blood began to pour from his still smiling mouth. Amelia began to run away as the black creature appeared and began to seep into Derek's body.

"Amelia, honey, come back." The creature said as the wound, in what was Derek's body, began to close.

The creature wobbled for a bit before beginning to walk properly. The creature started to sprint in an inhuman nature, chasing after Amelia.

Sadly Amelia is in high heels, and we all know you can't run in high heels. The creature began to catch up with her at an alarming rate and finally got within arm's reach of her. He tackled her and smiled with a crazy look in his eye. He opened his mouth and black goop started to drip out. Before she knew what happened the creature skidded across the ground with a bright blue net surrounding it. Doctor Reed walked up to Amelia and helped her up while close inspecting her body to make sure nothing had happened to her.

That day still haunts her dreams and thoughts. That was also how she met Doctor Reed and started working at his facility. She was hoping that she could cure, or fix Derek in some way. Now doing that is virtually impossible because James decided to ruin the fun for everybody and eat the thing.

Thankfully there were more test subject so Doctor Reed could continue his research.

Okay so this chapter got a little off topic but that's okay because now we can get back to the storyline.
