I woke up and turned of my alarm, then wrote my note for Charlie, mentioning Thalia, the mysterious voice in the trees, just so I could keep some element of truth to the letter, if only to ease my guilty consistence. l  glanced around my room on last time, taking a look at clock. 11:47.

I tip-toe out of my room slowly, wincing whenever the floorboards creak. Every they squeak, Charlie's loud snores stutter, then go back their normal rhythm.

As I open the front door, I started to have second thoughts. I never told the Woman where to meet up. For that matter, I never asked who she was.

I shook my head, knowing that I needed to go to meet the Woman and Co. or I'd  slowly become comatose. Even then, I felt nothing but guilt for what I was going to do to Charlie.

I opened my bag to check if I have everything I'm going to need before I go. (A/N - I'mma just list everything because I'm feeling lazy) In my bag, there are;

10 pairs of warm socks

Most of my clothes( The only ones not in there are on me right now)

Winter coat and boots

Rain coat and boots

My checkbook and a wad of cash

My favorite books

Toiletries

A paring knife, just in case

Taking a deep breath, I step outside, where, almost immediately, I see the Woman and another girl. The new person has raven black hair, with electric blue eyes. The Woman introduces her as Thalia, the girl from the trees, then coaxes me to their sides. She and Zoe then start to gently interrogate me after telling me that we were going to the place they had camped out for the night.

After 10 minutes of them slowly coaxing information out of me while walking towards a mysterious destination, I was about ready to pass out. Luckily, just when the forest started to sway around me, I smelled smoke. I hurried forward, ignoring the shouted warnings of  my companions.

After jogging and walking for a while without tripping, I knew it was inevitable that I would trip and fall at some point or another.

Just as the brush was clearing, my foot caught on a thick tree branch, and I flew through a bush. When I stopped flying, I looked up, and promptly fainted.
