If you want to be more fit, be in a broadway play. The amount of stairs that you have to climb backstage will make you very fit. Lin had to help me with the last set of stairs. I am not in shape. But how could i be? I never get to eat and i'm not allowed to do anything outside of school.
"Are you warmer now?" Lin asks me.
"Yes thank you, but you really didn't need to invite me in here," i say.
"But i wanted to. You looked cold so i thought you should be warm, good samaritan kind of thing," he says shakily. He's hiding something i know it.
"Are you sure? You don't sound sure," i question him.
"Well... you seemed like you needed a friend. And also your voice is beautiful and i wanted to hear it some more," Ha gotcha. But who does this guy think he is? I don't need friends.
"Thank you but i totally have friends!" i lie straight to his face. I can sense how fake my reply is.
"Then why aren't you at school with your friends?" Why did i think it was good to lie to a professional actor?
"Teacher freaked out and left. She said we can leave so we did. Then my non existent friends ditched me on my way here," i say in defeat. I'm such a loner, even strangers know it.
"Well i'm your friend now. And as your friend i suggest you listen to more of Hamilton. If you like Alexander Hamilton just you wait, just you wait," he sang that last little bit. I laugh at the reference. Clever guy.
"I want to but i have no way to listen to it," i say sadly. Oh man only if this guy knew what i go through.
"I have an idea. Why don't you stay here backstage, do homework and whatnot and listen to the show!"
"No no i don't want to impose. I'll just be in the way." I say. I really did want to stay though. Ive never been in a Broadway theater and i like it here. It feels, right.
"You're not imposing if i offer you to stay. It's no big deal. You can stay in my dressing room and listen if you're worried about being in the way. I'm sure the cast would love to talk to you and hang out with you," he says with a smile. He really is a kind. And he bestest friend i've had in a while.
I check my phone for the time. 2:45. Oh man i have fifteen minutes to get home and it's a twenty minute walk.
"Sorry Lin i really have to go. Um i have be home today i .. uh .. my foster mom likes me home at 3 or she worry's," i lied. If i'm not home by 3 that's a strike and i get yelled at. I don't want to deal with that.
"Oh okay yeah go ahead. Since we are friends put your number in my phone so we can get in touch. How about a raincheck?" He asks.
"Raincheck."
"Awesome. Safe walk home Ella Adams." He says
I thank him with a nod and wave to him good bye. Once i hear the door close, i start running. 2:47. I must get home. I need to get home.
I'm running faster than i've ever run before. I feel like i'm The Flash, that's how fast i'm running. In retrospect i'm not, just a metaphor.
2:54. Man i run slow. Cmon you can do this you're half way there let's go. Push yourself you have to get back. You don't want to get another strike.
2:58. Three more blocks you got this let's go. I finally see the house in the distance. 2:59. Two more blocks you can do this, you have to.
I finally reach the house and open the door and stand there breathing heavily. I try to catch my breathe as i look at my phone. 3:01. Shit.

Hello friends.
i know this doesn't make much sense like why would someone famous invite a teenager into their work place and ask for their number? it's a work of fiction and completely unrealistic.
There are many books like this out there and i've been reading those and this is basically a combination of them all.
Sorry that last chapter was really long and then this one be short. I want to make them short so i can get more chapters out faster.
cheers
emma
