Chapter 21

Camryn's POV

The lady at the front desk told us to wait and then the bell hop would come. We stood there for about 5 minutes then the bell hop came and we got into the elevator. The elevator ride was very awkward but as soon as the door opened I sprinted into our room and everyone was already in there.

Scooter: "Perfect timing, we were just about to pick who's gonna be it. Did you find someone to turn the lights off?"

Me: "Yeah. He's just in the hallway."

Scooter: "Perfect. Now who's gonna be it?"

Scooter looked around then Justin walked in a spoke up

Justin: "So who's it?"

Me: "I'll be it."

Scooter: "Great! Who else is gonna be it? We need one more person."

Justin: "I'll be it with her"

Scooter: "Awesome! Ok so you two go into a room and count to 50 and we will all go hide"

Me: "Ok"

We both walked into my room and closed the door.

Justin: "There go the lights" I started to count.

Me: "1, 2, 3, 4,...." But then Justin cut me off.

Justin: "Listen, I know your mad at me but just let me talk." I nodded then he continued.

"I'm sorry that I freaked out on you. it was Za, Twist, and Khalil's fault but I just didn't want to admit it. I heard you and Fredo talking. Are you really scared of getting into fights if we were in a relationship?"

Me: "Yes. I was in a relationship 3 years ago and we used to always get into fights. One day I caught him cheating and I called him to my house the next day to confront him about it. We got into a heated argument and he slapped me. No one was home and I kicked him out of the house. He left and I never seen or spoke to him again."

Justin: "I'm so sorry. But Camryn, do you really think I would hit you?"

Me: "No. But when you get angry you get pretty scary."

Justin: "I promise that if you give me a chance, I will never hurt you"

Me: "What are you saying Justin?"

Justin: "Go on a date with me, and we will go from there. Just please give me a chance"

I stood there and thought about it for a second. I shook my head.

Me: "Fine. One date and we will take it from there."

Justin: "Thank you! I promise I won't ruin it"

Me: "I think we should go look for them now" I grabbed Justin's hand and we walked out of his room. The lights were all off and it was getting darker because the sun was setting. Our door was closed and Justin opened it. The hallway was pitch black and I was really scared. You never know what to expect with them.

Justin: "I have an idea!" Justin ran down the hallway and started opening all the doors. I realized what he was doing and I started to help him. We started looking in the rooms and found almost everyone. We just needed to find Ryan, Scooter, and Alfredo.

I walked into my mom, Pattie and Scooters room. They had stairs so I quietly walked up them and listened for any noises. It was really dark now and I was alone. I walked into what seemed like Scooters room and looked around. I jumped at the sound of the door being shut. I ran over to the door and tried to open but it was locked.

Me: "OPEN THE DOOR! PLEASE! JUSTIN! ALFREDO! OPEN UP"

I heard laughing and Ryan and Alfredo came out of the bathroom.

Me: "You idiots!"

They couldn't stop laughing. They walked over to me and Ryan tried to hug me but I punched him in the arm.

Ryan: "Oww!"

Me: "That's what you get for locking me in a room in the pitch black!"

Ryan: "But it was hilarious!

Me: "You think so? Well I was gonna tell you about something that happened between me and Justin but I guess now you'll never know!"

Scooter then opened the door and I sprinted out the door.

I looked behind me and Ryan was chasing me. I ran back to our room and ran into Justin's arms.

Justin: "What happened? Where were you? I couldn't find you"

Before I could say anything Ryan walked into the room and his jaw dropped.

Ryan: "So, this is what you were gonna tell me?"
