I'm having such a bad day
I woke up on the wrong side of the bed
I got to school late
I failed my test
And I got yelled at by the principal
I go to my locker
Look in the mirror
And sigh
My next door locker neighbor walks up
She opens her locker
Looks in the mirror
And sighs
Poor girl
She must be having a hard day
I write something on post-it
And stick it on the mirror in front of her
She reads it
And a smile spreads across her features
"You're doing amazing today!"
I walk away
Suddenly conscious of the smile on my own face
Today is such a good day
