The quiet ones
Get drowned in the sound
Even when they speak up
No one hears
And why should they
When they aren't loud enough
To be heard
So they stop
They don't talk
And they go silent
When people ask,
"Why don't you ever say anything?"
They simply smile
And shrug
And silently say,
"Because you don't listen."
