.14. Things Won't Stay Normal

I woke up with Hotaru pinching my arm. "H-hotaru?" I stutter sitting up. "Let's go." She said hugging me then letting me go. She was lifted and I followed behind them. We left the hospital and left a car as well. I was holding Narumi-sensei's hand as everyone ran towards us. Everyone hugged Hotaru, of course Mikan hugged her first. I smiled as everything unfolded happily.

Later~

Not to long ago Ruka told me that Natsume's birthday was soon. I was in central town trying to buy a present. I seen Natsume, Ruka, Mikan, Permy, and Hotaru. Oh! Not to mention this boy that who lifted me into the air the first day I arrived. I avoided them all day. I found a necklace... It costs at least 13. I smiled and bought it right away. It could open and close. I ran all the way back to my room and looked threw all the pictures I had. I found one of me, Ruka, Mikan, Hotaru, and Natsume. I couldn't help but smile when I looked at it. Mikan was hugging me and Natsume from behind, Natsume was glaring at Mikan while I was laughing at Hotaru and Ruka, Ruka was trying to run but Hotaru was holding him by the back of his uniform. I put the picture in the locket and wrapped it up. I ran out of my room and ran to where Mikan told me everyone was at. I knocked on the door and Mikan opened it. "EVERYONE! HITOMI MADE IT!!" Mikan yelled pulling me inside. "We were just opening gifts!" She yelled happily. I smiled giving Natsume my wrapped locket. He was about to open it when I stopped him. "You should open it when you feel down." I whispered to him. He gave me a weird look but nodded putting my gift down. Mikan gave him her gift. It was a blank card and a one use camera. We all took a photo. It included everyone. Everyone was talking about last place. "I've decided." We all turned our attention to Natsume. "Mikan." Mikan seemed upset. I laughed at how dramatic Mikan was. I walked towards Natsume. "My present isn't nearly as good as Mikan's." I mumbled, mostly to myself. I was looking at the card that now had everyone's photo in it. "Hm?" I shook my head. I left and walked back to my dorm room. I closed the door behind me. I remember the note I left in the present for Natsume. I wonder if he'll open it when he's sad like I asked him to... Part of me hopes he doesn't open it at all.

"Dear Natsume;

I got this locket for you with the photo of You, Ruka, Hotaru, Mikan, and me. I know it's not the best but, I hope it clears you up everytime you look at it. We all care about you. No matter what we'll all love you. I wish you would let me help you Natsume... I have something important to talk to you about whenever you read this... As I'm writing this something is happening to me. Persona and Kichiro told me something that I can't and won't tell you threw this letter. I love you Natsume. Don't you DARE forget that.

I'm scared of him reading that letter. The truth is, Kichiro and Persona told me that I was dying.
