Family Matters

             Chapter 2

  The court was crowded with people ready to hang Tasha which made me relax a little . " Could she hate me anymore?" I thought out loud. Dimitri's hand reached for mine as we lurched forward to listen. "Mrs.Ozera the jury will allow you to any words to the people or jury. If you have anything speak now."  Her eyes looked for Christian and finally found him. " I cannot tell you how sorry I am. I acted irrationally and acted out against Guardian Hathaway. Killing the Queen was treason and I panicked Rose was the first one to come to mind. Harming the last Dragmir was not my intention. I blacked out and did shoot at her majesty."   The judge nodded. "Please bring forth your witnesses." He looked up at the lawyer. " Rosemarie Hathaway." My name hung in the air as I made my way to the stand. I told my story of how I was framed and getting shot. " You see I was not allowing protecting the last Dragomir but the Queen and my best friend." I wasn't going to allow Tasha to go free. " I believe out of love she knew I would jump in front of her to save her." I added. Lissa and Dimitri were next telling their side of the story. " You're honor, I do not believe Tasha Ozera is a threat if released to her nephew Christian Ozera."  There were angry shouts toward Lissa but she remained calm. "Liss, what the hell are you doing?"  I hissed. Dimitri's hand tightened.

" The jury has reached a decision."  I shot daggers at Lissa. Even Christian was pissed for not giving him a heads up. " She will be released to her next of kin Christian Ozera till farther due...Court dismissed." Tasha Ozera walks. "Rose- I have my reasons!" She shouted but I was gone. Dimirti followed me to my dorm and silently shut the door. "Roza, I'm sorry. I'm sure Valissa had her reasons. You almost died she would never have that." But she would if it meant having Christian back. I reached out grabbing him by the shirt pulling his body on mine. " Roza." My name on his lip was heaven itself.  His body was already reacting to mine like years of training in combat. Like I said Dimitri was heaven itself.

             Dimitri's POV

  She snored lightly her body was beautiful. I wished we could do this every day but we had our responsibilities. It reminded me of the first day I met her. Her and Valissa were corned but still she fought. I lightly kissed her bared back and muttered her name. " Roza." I chuckled. "Dinner with your parents." I reminded her. Her eyes slightly opened. "We have an hour." Her eyes twinkled with mischief. "Oh, Roza. What will I do with you?" I teased our lips slightly touched. "I know exactly what to do." We heard a knock. "Who ever it is will go away." I was back in my moody state. "Rose?" Then a another voice. "I know you're in there!" I saw Rose's face fill with panic. I coughed to keep from laughing." Yeah, um just a second?" She made it sound like a question. "Where's that damn bra?" She hissed. Rose frowned and threw on a shirt just as I zipped my pants."You're already dressed?" She demanded. I laughed which made her flush."Oh, Roza." She smiled. "See something you like?" I opened my mouth to answer but her father's voice filled the room. "Rosemarie Ann Hathaway, you open this door!" Why where they so intent on coming in. She tossed my western book at my pointing silently at the chair. I sat down and began reading. She opened the door taking a deep breath. "Mom?Abe? What's going on?" Abe rushed in looking around. My senses were on high alert. I shot up looking at Rose's confused face. "Rose, your mother and I feel-"  Her mom cut him off."You're in danger. Tasha has been seen with strigoi we believe she is planning an attack on you and Queen Dragomir. You have to leave now." Janinie was right she had to leave and soon."How many were seen? Any kills?" I asked. "No, Tasha has killed a guardian for the school...Rose- I'm sorry Guardian Castle came out of nowhere."

Rose's POV

I blinked it was Mason's warning. First Eddie then me the one she really wants. Tears burned in my eyes as I fell. "Rose!" Lissa cried running inside toward me. Christian's eyes were red and swollen as he followed her. I pushed her hair back and it came out my way...Harsh. "Lissa, grieve later. Right now we have to move." I snapped pushing down on my feelings."Roza-" Dimitri frowned looking worried. "Save it, comrade. What we need is a plan."  Everybody knew how I dealt with things. "Rose." Abe said in a low tone. Something inside broke."Daddy!" I cried everybody looked at me shocked except Abe. He pulled me in a kissed the top of my head. "They're coming for me. Mason's waiting!" Abe pulled away and looked at me. "What?" Christian blurted. "Oh, Rose. It can't be true." Lissa said running toward me I had my arms out meeting her.
