Breaking Away

A cold feeling woke me up bringing back."Rose?" I looked past my mom to Liss."He isn't dead. He is lost; that's another name for striogi. Liss, you can bring him back!" I practically shouted. She gave me a sad look."Rose, it takes a big part of me. I'm Queen now I have to keep my sanity." Anger filled my whole body."If it was me no questions asked I'd be back with the living in a blink of an eye. He would die for you-Oh wait already done." I didn't even recognize my voice it came out so cold and bitter."Rose! That isn't fair!" I shot her a look."Get out." My mom and Liss froze."What?" She stared in disbelief. "Get the hell out!" Tears filled her eyes."Rose?" I turned my back to her."It's your fault Tasha got out in the first place now Eddie is gone. How many more will be dead before you get the big picture?" I heard her sob and my mom gently gave her a slight push towards the door."She needs time." I sighed waiting."Rosemarie Hathaway!" I rolled my eyes and turned back."You can not blame her for her past mistakes on Eddie's death if we were going to talk about mistakes I have a whole book filled with yours." Mason was gone but I'd be damned if I was going to lose somebody else I loved."I can't be near her right now. Where's Abe and Dimitri?" She kissed me softly on the top of the head."I'll go get them. How are you feeling?." No matter what I died."Mom, I died a couple of times I'll always be shadow kissed."

"What? You've been staring at me for the last hour like that." I gestured at his expression."Who scared you at the world of the dead?" Dimitri was worried like always."The world of the dead? That's a new one." I joked trying to avoid his stare."Roza, I've seen that expression on you're face before." I ran my fingers through my messy hair."Mason and Victor. I always thought - Or hoped Mason moved on to a happier place but he there he stood watching me." I shook with a sudden cold shill."He knew about Eddie being turned. As for Victor he wanted me to join him in death. So forgive me if I don't like talking about it." I snapped."Rose, I won't ever let you die on me again. I love you, Roza." I met his eyes and pulled his lips to mine."I love you too." I whispered. The kiss of course was like heaven. He smiled as he pulled away and kissed me once more on my forehead."I'll get Lissa." He smiled knowingly."That's so annoying." His eyes twinkled as he laughed."I just know you."

I sat at the edge of my bed waiting for Liss to say something."That's a dangerous look." I glanced to my best friend standing there. Her eyes were red and swollen from crying."I'm suppose to prevent you from being hurt not cause it." I muttered."Liss, I didn't mean anything I said. I'm so sorry I shouldn't have even brought it up. I know the toll it takes on you're body I was being selfish." A smile played at her lips."I was only saying that because you're mom was in the room."
