Once we had escaped the screaming madness, Gemini turned to us and grabbed our shoulders.
"How exiting!" She whispered and brought us then to a hallway with many doors. "This one will be yours, they will bring your family very shortly." She opened one of the doors to reveal a small room with 4 armchairs and a small coffee table. After a few minutes of silence she looked up at me again. "You wait in hear dear, you'll only be alone a couple of minutes, don't worry." She smiled and slightly pushed me towards the room. I stumbled in and sat on one of the chairs. The door shut with a click. My mind was blank. I put my head in my hands and tried to process. The door creaks and Katie walks in. I look up. She smiles slightly and sits across me. "I'm going to die." I whisper. Katie tilts her head. "Probably," she stifled a laugh. I glowered at her.
"It's really not funny at all." She stood up simpering. She ran her fingers down the side of my face. And stared into my eyes.
"We're pretty, that helps." She shows sings of sadness for a glimpse, then turns and strolled out of the room just like that, her footsteps echoing along the long hallway.
And then there was silence.
Pretty helps. It would help. Gemini pokes her head through the door and looks around.
"Oh, did they not bring them in yet? " she asks sweetly.
"No, no they did, they just left a moment ago." Gemini nods in understanding.
"Well let's go then. Marvel is already on the train. " I stand up suddenly. I didn't think it had been that long. Gemini holds out her hands. "Don't rush there will be cameras, look your best." She motioned for me to smile and I did. We walked in silence until we reached the grand door doted withe gems of all colours. She reached for the door nob looking back at me grinning.
"You ready?" I shrugged and my smile turned into a grin. And not a fake one. I wasn't happy necessarily but the realization fuelled excitement that was only letting itself show now. Gemini learned forwards and the door flew open letting bright light flood the room.
