Chapter 1

Some parts of this "book" are based on one of my favorite book series in real life. It is called Shadow Falls. But I put my twist on it. There might be some facts that are from the book series but I do not own it. 
                Colleen just turned sixteen on June 26. She found out that she was a vampire on her thirteenth birthday because she became really sick and her body temperature went cold. During school she would fall asleep in class and not fall asleep at night because vampires get their best sleep during the am. Her parents think she is doing drugs and decided to send her to a summer camp where Colleen meets her best friend, Kaylie. (Colleen's parents do not know that she is a vampire.)
               Kaylie turned sixteen on March 24 and for her whole life she knew she was a witch. Her parents expect her to win the WITCHES AND WARLOCKS COMPETITION. But Kaylie is having a hard time and her parents want her to win so they send her to a summer camp to get better at witchcraft. (Kaylie has dyslexia so it is hard for her to learn spells.)
                Colleen met Kaylie at the bus to Shadow Falls. They sat together on the bus and talked all the way to Shadow Falls. They talked about many things like ex-boyfriends, and their parents and who they were rooming with when they got to Shadow Falls.
                 When they reach Shadow Falls they went to the cafeteria. The camp leader stood in front of everyone and said "Welcome to Shadow Falls, My name is Hailey and I am your camp leader. If you are returning campers please go and find which cabin you are in. And if you are new here please stay seated."
               All the returners left and found their cabins. Hailey stood up again and said "Now all the first years please come up front and introduce yourself. Will you please say your name and what you are. we will be doing this by table." 
         Colleen and Kaylie were seated at table five. The first person went up front and said "Hello my name is Jayce and I am a shapeshifter." He then went and sat down at his table. Kaylie elbows Colleen and says "You were staring at Jayce. Do you like him?" Colleen responds "I have to get to know him before I like him but he is really cute" Kaylie makes a smirk that says yeah, sure, I can tell you like him. 
           About fifteen kids went up and now it was Colleen's turn to go up. She stood up and walked to the microphone and said "Hello, my name is Colleen and I am a vampire." Colleen left the microphone and went back to their table. Now it was Kaylie's turn. Kaylie went up to the microphone and said "Hello, my name is Kaylie and I am a witch." She then went back to their table.
           After everybody had been introduced Hailey sent everybody to find their cabin. Colleen and Kaylie soon found their cabin. Kaylie said "YAASSS COLLEEN WE ARE IN THE SAME CABIN TOGETHER!" Colleen said in reply "That's great but STOP screaming". They entered the cabin and found their other roommate. She said "Hello my name is Kayla. I guess we are rooming together. " "This will be so fun." Kaylie says "Hi my name is Kaylie and this is my best friend Colleen. I hope we can be best friends too." Colleen says "same. That would be cool".
All three friends sat at the dinning room table and drank Arizona iced tea. They talked about their life's and asked questions about each other they soon became really good friends. Kaylie and Colleen learned that Kayla was a shapeshifter.
