Chapter 3

      Once Colleen got back to her cabin, she had question flooding into her mind. But of course she didn't know the answers to any of them, so instead of dwelling on the run in with Jayce, she sat down at the computer that was in the cabin and started to do a little investigating on what humans knew about Shadow Falls. 
        Colleen soon found out that Shadow Falls is named after the falls that are on the property. Colleen put a mental note in her brain to ask Kayla about the falls. About 10 minutes from when Colleen started to research Shadow Falls, Kaylie came out of her room with the biggest smile on her face. And Colleen couldn't help but ask about it.
"Why are you so happy"
"Why wouldn't I be happy, I mean I am at Shadow Falls, a camp for supernatural teens, and I already have 2 best friends. What could go wrong?" Responded Kaylie, who was Really, REALLY happy.
"You are right you have 2 best friends that know you too well, and I am one of them. So what else is making you so happy and don't just say it is because of Kayla and I because I know it is not that." Said Colleen, who is starting get annoyed that Kaylie thought she could get away with such a bad lie.
"How did you know that I was happy about something else?" Kaylie asked
"First of all, you are a bad liar and second of all you have that stupid grin on your face that says 'oh I have something to tell you but I don't want to tell you' and third of all you just admitted that you were happy for other reasons ." Colleen states matter-of-factly.
      Finely Kaylie gave up and spilled everything to Colleen. "So when you were out on a run I went out to draw a picture of a cabin." Kaylie is an amazing artist but she has to be looking at her inspiration. "So I sat on our cabins steps and was staring at the cabin across from us, deciding where to begin. Once I started drawing I couldn't stop, so I drew trees around the cabin. I started to stare at the actual cabin think about what else I wanted to draw. I didn't even notice that a guy stepped on to the front porch of the cabin I was looking at." When Kaylie said the last part she started to blush.
       Kaylie went on and said "I finally notice the guy when he yelled 'I know I look good but you don't have to stare!' When he said that I popped out of my little world and he started to come to our front porch and when he made it I said 'sorry I was drawing a cabin and I couldn't think of something to draw next. And I drifted off to my own little world." Then the guy said 'its fine, my name is James by the way.' In respond I said 'oh my name is Kaylie' then we sat down on the steps of our cabin and he let me draw him. He gave me tips on drawing and I gave him tips and drawing. Soon we both went our different ways and I hung up the pictures I drew. He is soooooo nice and he is cute!"
Once Kaylie was done with her story colleen decided that she was tired and wanted to try and get some sleep, even though vampires have the best rest in the A.M.'s. But Kaylie started to ask questions about her run. So Colleen said
"I will tell you about it when we have Arizona iced teas out and Kayla is out here. But for right now I am going to get some rest. Good night."
"Good night" responded Kaylie cheerfully.
