A/N: Hope you enjoy this! I had a great time writing it :D
Grace stared at her computer screen, watching the blinking line on the blank Microsoft word document. She knew she needed to write something – she had been sitting there all day, writing and rewriting the first sentence, and yet she couldn’t come up with anything. All the information she needed was around her; books, pictures, magazine and newspaper articles, all dotted with the face that she was supposed to be writing about. Bruce Wayne. His devilish smile and his gorgeous grey eyes stared up at her from all the pages, taunting her. Why could she not write about such an enigma? Granted, this was her first and only biography that she had ever agreed to do, but she hadn’t thought she’d have such a hard time writing about such a handsome man.
It was because he was so flat on paper, she realized, leaning back in her chair. She spun it around, partly hoping that would make her brain work faster. How was she supposed to write about someone who she had never met, let alone figure out all his complexities. If she had to admit the truth to herself, it would be that the only reason she had taken this job of writing about the mysterious playboy Bruce Wayne was because she wanted to know him. She wanted to know what made him tick, why he owned a billion dollar company, and wasted his time with beach blonde bimbos. He truly was an enigma – call it intuition, but she could see something in those pictures, flickering in his eyes. Those eyes that were always so reserved, hiding something.
She could not write about him without meeting him, she decided, shaking her head even though no one was there. She picked up the phone, dialing the number of her editor, and the woman who had set up the whole thing.
“Alexis? It’s me. I need to meet Bruce Wayne.”
“What? Have you not made any progress? We have a deadline in a week for the first fifty pages!”
“I know, and that’s why I need the meeting right away. You can do it, can’t you?”
“I’ll text you when and where.”
“You’re the best.” Grace hung up, smiling to herself. She reclined in her chair, staring up at the ceiling, waiting for the text. When it came, it was short and sweet, right to the point.
Tomorrow – lunch meeting at Burger Joint on 8th and 20th street. Don’t be late.
“You’re the best,” she breathed again, leaping to her feet. She had to plan what she was going to wear. And she meant that in the most professional way possible.

Burger Joint was not what Grace expected. She had thought it would be some sort of high end, expensive grill, and she had dressed for it, in a floral skirt, white shirt and jean jacket with white heels to finish off the look. Her auburn hair was tucked into a curly side ponytail, and her glasses rested on her noses. She drummed her fingers against the badly scratched brown table, watching as yet another customer received a greasy burger. Her mouth watered looking at it. She was starved. She was just about to get up and order when none other than Bruce Wayne approached her, a small smile on his handsome face.
