Mika glanced up and away from his book to Yuu, who had sighed for what seemed the millionth time. Mika lightly pouted and decided to finally ask what was wrong when Yuu's sighs turned into a grunt and he slunk into the couch in a lazy and careless manner.

"Yuu-chan?" Mika asked, his worry intensified when Yuu jumped in place and sat up, suddenly looking serious. "U-um, is something wrong?"

Yuu shook his head and finally met eyes with Mika. He sent Mika a smile, and Mika forced one out, though tiny and obviously strained, it was there.

Yuu scooted closer, and Mika considered scooting away, he didn't. So Yuu ended up scooting close enough that their thighs touched. Once settled in, Yuu took Mika's pale hands in his and softened his smile upon taking in Mika's nervous body language. His shoulder were raised up and he had pressed his legs together.

"Hey, Mika?" Yuu said, voice soft, eyes excited.

"Ye-yeah?"

"We both like kids right?"

"Yes?" Mika slowly asked, sending Yuu a suspicious look that made him chuckle.

"I was thinking," Yuu started, "I want kids Mika. And I think we're ready."

Yuu was expecting a few reactions from his pretty, gentle and caring blond. He expected excitement and happiness. Confusion and wariness. But Mika looked panicked.

"It's okay, love." Yuu quickly soothed him. Using words to distract him, making Mika flinched and whine as he turned red.

Yuu wanted to say he wanted children in a serious manner, but it wasn't his style. And even though he knew Mika would have preferred a serious talk, it just wasn't him. He also found amusement in Mika's reactions.

Yuu knew, oh did he know Mika loved being called "love". He didn't know why, but he learned it when Mika was reading a book and he suddenly stopped to say his thoughts out loud, "Love! So sweet, but-ugh! I can't! There's just something romantic about being called love." He had said.

Obviously Yuu used every opportunity he got to use and call Mika "love".

And as much as Yuu wanted to continue to see just how red and flustered he could manage to get Mika by just using one word. He knew he should at least keep some sense of seriousness. It was a serious matter after all.

"Okay, sorry, sorry." Yuu said, smiling softly at Mika. Who took in the change in Yuu's demeanor and calmed down. The red on his face reciding.

Yuu smiled and planted a few kisses on Mika's fingers, the ones that were also red. "Yuu-chan." Mika whined in protest.

"Okay, sorry. You're just so cute!"

Mika pouted and Yuu resisted the temptation to kiss it off. Instead he took in a deep breath and repeated, "Mika, I really want children, and I do think we're ready."

Mika looked down to his lap, anywhere but Yuu's eyes, sputtering, "I-I-Yuu-chan-I don't know...I'm-I don't know-"

"Mika." Yuu interrupted, eyes a little sad and disappointed as he said with a calm smile, "It's okay of you don't wan to. I'll wait, so it's okay. I won't pressure you into anything you don't want to."

"That's not it Yuu-chan!" Mika argued, he looked sad and desperate. His voice softened as he clarified himself, "I'm just scared that I'm not good enough to care for a child. I would really like-love to have kids, but I don't know whether or not I can trust myself."

Yuu gently cupped Mika's face and caressed his face with his thumbs. He adorned his face with a warm and reassuring smile as he moved his face close. Close enough to bop Mika's nose with his own, "You're ready Mika. I know you are, but if you don't feel like it then, like I said, I'll wait."
