“Hallo. Vake up.”

America blinked with his eyes.

“Hey.”

He could feel someone stroking his cheek. He blinked again, trying to figure out what was in front of him. Everything was blurry, but he could see that someone was in front of him. He quickly realised, that he wasn't in the cell any more, because he could feel that he was wearing clothes and it wasn't smelling like the cell either. He was lying down on something soft, a couch, maybe? He rubbed his eyes to make the sleep go away, before he blinked again and opened his eyes wide up.

“Avake now?”

Alfred looked at the German. The same German as before. He wasn't wearing his leather clothes any more, but his military-ish clothes. Even his cap. But why was he looking so...

“Who are you?” America asked. The German looked a bit surprised and pinked. He removed his hand from America's chin and scratched his cheek. It took him several minutes to answer, like he was thinking about if he should tell him or not.

“Er... My name ist Lutz.” He said, kind of hesitant, though.

“L...utz?” America had never heard such a name before. It sounded strange and slightly stupid, but it matched this German in a weird manner.

Lutz leaned forward and felt his forehead. Then he removed it.

“Are you feeling... vell?” He said. America felt confusion bubbling up. What? Why was he asking that?

“Er...” He actually hadn't paid attention to how he felt. His body was aching, but he wasn't freezing or too warm. Though he had headache and his throat was a little scratchy, too. Just as he was about to answer, a growl emerged and cut through the room. From America's tummy. America looked down and saw that he was wearing a long, big, white dress shirt, and his underpants. Lutz chuckled, a little awkwardly though.

“Would you like somezing to eat first?” He asked. America blinked and of some reason, his cheeks became warm and red. He rubbed them to make it go away, while nodding weakly. Lutz nodded and went up and walked out of the room. First now did America start looking where he was. The room was a little small. The walls were covered in a dark-rosy and green flower-pattern. There was two cupboards filled with knick-knacks and the armchairs and the sofa he was lying in was out of tree and expensive-looking, rosy fabric. A tea-table of some sort was in the middle of everything. There was a window, dressed in white curtains, and he could see outside. It was day. Day. Outside. He almost jumped out of his bed and looked outside the window. The sky was blue. The sun was high on the sky. He began shaking and tears began appearing. He quickly began opening the window and as soon as he had just opened it a little bit, he sucked in the outdoor air as if it was water. More tears flowed down in joy as he kept on breathing in the air. He opened the window a little more, wanting to feel the air on his face. He could see that there was snow on the ground. Not much, just some bunches leaning up against some other buildings. Some people were wandering around the streets, dressed in thick, fluffy coats. The air was chilly and stung a bit, but boy, it felt good to finally be able to see outside again. He looked down and realised that they were in an apartment, since there was several metres down to the ground. Maybe that Lutz-guy lived here? He dried his cheeks, and began to wonder, why was he in and apartment with that German...?
