A Championship To Remember ➳ Markson

chapter five;

"Are we there yet?" the maknae whined. This has to be the 7th time he's asked this. "No, Yugyeom. If you ask again, I will make you walk!" Jaebum snaps back angrily. Yugyeom immediately stopped talking as if he'd seen a ghost. Mark is sat next to Jackson in the minibus with his head on Jackson's shoulder with Jinyoung sat right next to him. Youngjae obviously sat with Jaebum and they shared multiple giggles and laughs, Jackson swears they'd make a great couple but every time he brings it up they both turn red and laugh hysterically. Finally, Yugyeom is sat with Bambam. (Since the driver isn't that important to them, he's only hired by JYPE to escort them to their multiple venues.)

Jackson looks at Jinyoung and whispers "Is he asleep?", Jinyoung looks at Mark who looks like he's napping, the slightest movement might wake him up. Just that second the minibus goes over a speed bump and mark goes flying up in the air, "OH MY GOD" Mark exclaims followed by the laughter of the members behind him. Youngjae and Jaebum turn round looking confused but see all the members laughing and join in also. Jackson looks at Mark and puts his arm around his neck and uses his over hand to brush his hair. Mark laughs and pulls Jackson's arm off of him and pecks his check. All the members quiet down again waiting for the long journey to end.

"FINALLY" Yugyeom screams with delight as he jumps out the minibus doors. This was it, they're here... at ISACs. Jackson finally realises it's actually happening and the nerves set in thick and fast. The butterflies begin to flutter in his stomach causing an immense amount of pain. "Take deep breaths Jackson, you'll be fine" Mark consoles with a smile that could make anyone happy. Jackson smiles back and continues walking into the stadium. Public affection is a big nono for this couple, not because they don't want to but because they've been told it's not allowed. So where they would normally show affection at home they cannot do so in public, this upsets Jackson but he has to try his best his career depends on it, or so his manager says...

All the members sit together in the stadium with other groups around them. Interactions between different groups happen a lot more here unlike everyday life where the groups hardly get to see or interact with one another. This can be nice to talk to old friends; Jackson is actually quite fond of talking to friends he's made from guest starring on variety shows. For example, Dahyun from Twice. When Mark sees Jackson talking to other groups he begins to feel a little less nervous for him, in fact Mark thinks it's a good idea for Jackson to talk to more people rather than being stuck in the dorm all day.

Finally, the sports have begun and members start disappearing to take part in the events they had been chosen to do. Yugyeom was the first member to go and won a silver medal straight away. Yugyeom wasn't extremely happy but all the members were proud nonetheless. The thing Jackson was very nervous about was whether the skinship which Mark and Jackson do for the fans will be taken differently and people will catch onto the relationship. So, the skin ship between them was kept very minimum.

Jackson sees Mark walking towards him and his nerves start to kick in again. As Mark gets closer Jackson's eyes are making contact with Mark's. He can tell that Mark is coming over to do something which they agreed not to. Mark immediately throws himself at Jackson and hugs him very close. Jackson tries to pull himself away but Mark's embrace is to strong and he stays there flopping around like a fish out of water. As Mark pulls away Jackson looks shocked as if Mark had just told him he had killed his greatest ancestors, Mark laughs and then walks away. Jackson is left there stood shocked hoping no one saw what just happened.

Jackson seems to be wandering round aimlessly as the ISACs progress, all of his events have finished and he has quite literally nothing to do but sit around. Mark has also finished his events so the two are sat next to each other watching and waiting. Jackson is on edge around Mark which is no surprise to be honest. Mark grabs Jackson's hand and whispers "I think we're fine to hold hands for a few minutes Jackson, it's not like other groups don't do the same." Jackson nods with fear on his face. As time progresses Mark becomes more and more confident with their interactions. Mark isn't bothered at all, meanwhile Jackson is still on edge. Mark is going as far as snuggling close to Jackson's face, this never made him feel as uncomfortable as it did today.

Jackson was sat alone as the other members were messing around watching the events go on, Mark turns round and shouts to Jackson to join them, Jackson was weary at first but he feels he must as there is nothing better to do. When he gets up to them Yugyeom screams "Markson" and immediately gets slapped by Jaebum. They get a few head turns but nothing too peculiar. Mark buts his arm around the back of Jackson's waist. This soothes Jackson a little and they all start cheering for their friends. When another idol of JYPE won an event they all celebrated and cheered.

It was the final event and Youngjae was taking part in it, all the members wished him good luck and told him to do them proud (as if that wasn't pressuring enough) but without any surprise Youngjae won the gold medal! All the members were cheering and celebrating hugging one another it was all fun until Mark pressed his lips on Jackson's. Jackson didn't move away but didn't throw himself into it either. The kiss lasted for a few seconds but it felt like a lifetime. Mark pulled away from the kiss and realised what he'd done. The members were staring in shock at the projected screen, Mark looked up and realised that the camera had been projecting him and Jackson the whole time. The Whole Stadium Had Seen Them Kiss. Jackson looked at Mark who then looked back at him. Mark then ran away out of the camera sight with the unholy sounds of Satan wailing from his mouth.

A/N - Hey everyone, I'm sorry I took so long to release this chapter! I've been pretty busy. I was going to release it last week but didn't end up working on it because i got ill, then my new semester at college had begun and i applied for a job, etc. (the job turned me down as i wasn't available all week, lmfao oenflfbwefn) but thank you so much for continuing to read this story and i hope this chap isn't too boring sbeobfbdjdf. it's a little messy and i haven't actually proofread it all so there may be some mistakes lololololol. but ones again, thank you all so much for making my experience on wattpad so enjoyable so far! ilyasm! <3
