A Championship To Remember ➳ Markson

chapter six;

As Mark entered the changing rooms he could hear mayhem happening behind him. People were cheering, jeering, screaming and multiple voices all trying to get their word in. Mark feels bad for leaving Jackson out there on his own but he couldn't stand being out there after what just happened. Mark knew this was going to be everywhere in the next few hours being the first outted gay idol couple is going to have its ups and downs, that's for sure.

"Mark!?" Jinyoung exclaimed with the fear in his voice very clear. "W-what's happening out t-there Jinyoung?" Mark squirms at the thought of what could possibly be happening out there but has to ask out of pure fear and curiosity. "Well, the crowd went crazy as you ran off, not in a good way though. After you ran away Jackson collapsed; we think he might have fainted but no one is sure as he isn't responding." Jinyoung's stare pierces into Mark's soul. Mark falls into Jinyoung's arms crying into the youngers arms. Jinyoung just stands there trying to console Mark without success.

Mark is sat on a bench in the changing room with Jinyoung sat beside him. He's still crying and thinking about how things would be different if he never kissed Jackson or never started dating him in the first place. All of this could be avoided and that makes Mark feel even worse about the situation. Mark is causing unneeded stress to Jackson and himself. "WHERE IS HE?!" Mark hears a very angry Jaebum and just cowards into a ball on the bench. Jinyoung looks at Mark and runs to Jaebum "LEAVE HIM ALONE JAEBUM, DON'T YOU THINK THIS IS HARD ENOUGH WITH YOUR HOMOPHOBIC ASS ON HIS CASE ALL THE TIME. I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW SHALLOW YOU ACTUALLY ARE. GET OUT NOW BEFORE I DO SOMETHING YOU'LL REGRET!!!!!!!!!!!!" Jinyoung screams at Jaebum. Jaebum's face freezes with his draw dropped in shock. Before anything else is said Jaebum leaves the changing room. Jinyoung sits next to Mark and passes him a tissue "Wipe the tears, you'll be fine Mark. I'm here."

Jackson is finally responding to people and it seems like the whole event has blown over. Most of the audience and idols have left now (It was the last event of the ISACs that this happened after all). As Jackson opens his eyes he sees a very troubled Yugyeom sat beside him holding his hand. "Oh my god, he's opened his eyes, thank goodness!" Yugyeom utters with relief in his voice. Jackson looks at Yugyeom at back at the hand holding his and then back at Yugyeom again. "I don't care what Jaebum says, I'm going to be here for you and Mark. Your relationship and happiness is just as important as our own." Yugyeom says with a big smile on his face. "Wait, J-Jaebum is telling you t-t-to not support us?" Jackson is hardly able to talk. "Um... Oh... Ah... Yeh, I'll be right back" Yugyeom lets go of Jackson's hand and runs off.

Jackson and Mark are now sat in the minibus on the way home. Jinyoung is in between them this time, Mark doesn't feel ready to talk about what happened and has politely asked Jackson to give him more time; Jackson happily obliged to this because he loves Mark and wants the best for him (and he secretly needed some time himself). Jaebum was sat at the front of the minibus on the phone to the groups manager. All the other members are sat behind Mark, Jackson and Jinyoung. The members are really not happy with Jaebum and I think that reason is a bit obvious.

The rest of the journey was spent in silence. Much to Jackson and Mark's surprise Jaebum said nothing after the phone call for the rest of the journey. There were a few giggles from Yugyeom and Bambam but they're always giggling, they're like school children. Jinyoung spent most of the journey staring at Mark, the respect and love Jinyoung has for Mark is unbelievable; it's no surprise they call each other best friends. Youngjae is sat in silence on his own reflecting on past events and staring out the window at the back of the minibus. While Jackson just sits next to Jinyoung thinking about what he did to deserve all of this pain, he's done nothing but care for people and look where he is now. A rocky relationship and a tornado of emotions inside of him, he didn't want this.
