(Maddie's POV) FLASHBACK
"I don't wanna go to school!"-me
"Honey you have to you will make new friends... please do it for me?"-mom
"Only for you."-me I shyly smile and let go of my grip around mommas leg. Mommy picks me up and sets me in my seat and buckles me up. I smile and wait for mom to get in the front seat. Mommy gets in and drives me to school. I try to read the sign and all I could pronounce is "prem row elmtree" (Prim Roe Elementary) mommy laughs and parks the car.
"Your a big girl so you go and ask the other girls to play!"-mom "what if they don't like me moma?"-me "I'm sure they will love a beautiful girl like you!"-mom. I smile and nod and hug her and walk into the school. I see 3 girls playing with pretty barbies. I smile and take one out of my backpack. I walk up to them and say " can I join you?"
One girl turns around and says "no your Barbie is ugly! I hate your dress too!" I mutter out an "okay" and run to the corner of the room. I sit down and put my head in my knees and cry. Someone taps my shoulder and I look up to see a boy my age. I whips my tears and say "sorry..."-me
"It's okay, what's wrong?"-boy
"These girls said my barbie was ugly and so is my dress"-me. I cry more.
"Your dress is not ugly! Also your Barbie is to good for them anyway!"-boy he smiles. I smile back and wipe my tears and laugh. He laughs too. I say "Hi, I am Maddie."-me
"Hi maddie, I'm mark!"-mark smiles and hugs me.
He whispers "we're going to be great friends." I hug back and nod.
