"Every man's memory is
his private literature ."
-Aldous Huxley.

I turned over as the maid said, "Quick your highness, you have to get up now." I rolled to my side and said to my maid, "Go away Elena. I still want to catch some sleep."

Elena persisted and pulled the covers off my body. She said, "You have to get up now my lady. Everyone is at breakfast and his majesty has an important announcement to make."

I opened my left eye and said, "An important announcement? Well that's new."

Elena said, "Please get up now my lady." I closed my eyes and changed my position. I felt so sleepy. I didn't feel like moving an inch from the bed.

Elena said, "You'll have to scold me later your highness."

I said, "Scold you? Oh! What are you doing Elena?!" Elena grabbed my hands and pulled me out of bed. She was two years my senior and she was sort of like my best friend.

She help me to the bath and helped me get dressed. Then I went to the large dining hall for breakfast.

As I got to the dining hall, all eyes turned my way. I quickly scurried to my seat. The one facing Emerald.

I felt the looks of disgust thrown my way but I ignored them all and only stared at my plate as a maid served me my food.

Father cleared his throat and said, "Since Keren-happuch has finally decided to bless us with her presence, I might as well go ahead with my special annoncement."

I rolled my eyes as I noticed the sarcasm laced in my father's voice.

Father said, "As we all know, the triplets are celebrating their twenty fourth birthday in a couple of days. Since it is such a special and important age, it will also mark their betrothal since they are already past the double decadal age and are quite old and matured enough, we might as well get it all done with."

I stared at the faces of the triplets at this announcement. They were expressionless and only concentrated on their plates.

They looked like mother. They all had her blue eyes, her small, fair beautiful features and her fragile look. It was only Opal who looked more differentiated because of her thick dark hair instead of the blonde colour of Jade and Gold's hair. Apart from their hair colour, they were identical. The same height, the same way of talking, the same manner of expressions, the same everything.

Sapphira and Emerald also took after mother's fair and fragile looks but with Emerald having green eyes which earned her, her name. Once one sees the six of them, it's not hard to know that they are all related due to the genetic features they all share.

Keziah, Jemimah and I on the other hand, shared Father's to dark skin, dark hair, dark eyes and sharp facial features. But it looked better on Keziah and Jemimah but on myself, not so much.

After breakfast, we were all directed to the seamstress for dress fittings which was quite boring. Then we had the whole day to ourselves.

Our usual lessons were suspended due to the incoming celebration but the triplets were going to be drilled in proper etiquette and all that and we, the others would only have to drop in for just an hour lecture.

I doubted if my other sisters would remain idle.

I was pretty sure Keziah was off pratcing either her martial art skills or something related.

The triplets must already be at their lessons.

Jemimah probably riping apart the head of the poor servants by bossing them around and over seeing the prepartions of the celebrations. She likes to act like a queen already.

Sapphira probably helping the seamstresses design our dresses since she's quite passionate about fashion.

Emerald probably curled up in the library somewhere reading a book. Or she was with Sapphira since she too was quite fashionable or the other way round with Sapphira being with her.

Then that left good ol me. I made my way to my hideout. My tree as I loved to call it. I hoped I was going to see Lemuel again. That boy had some serious questions to answer.

So, I made my way up the tree, settled in the branch where my sketch pad was with my pencil.

The only image that came to my mind at that moment was Lemuel. His handsome facial features and the scar.

As I drew, all my mind and thoughts were focused on Lemuel and how it had felt to trace his scar.

When the drawing was done, I stared at it. Lemuel had called his scar ugly. But in the actual fact, the scar was beautiful. It added a type of extra beauty to his face.

I also wondered how he knew my identity. I had poundered about it all through the night.

Then again, I got a hold of myself and I gave myself an hard knock. I was acting really girl related, which I hated. Why was I spending so much time thinking about a freaking boy? Just an ordinary boy?!

Heck no! I had to get a hold of myself. I snatched the page of the drawing to tear it but gave up. I had spent quite sometime with the drawing and I wouldn't want to just put all that time to waste. So, I decided to keep the drawing.

I jumped down from the tree to go home. Back to the boring palace.

That was when I noticed him.

A/N: Hey guys! A sort of filler such of chapter I know but we've still got the big celebration to get to.
