"...And I am very, very sorry that I killed Katerina, and I hope that we will be able to move past this. I was not in my right mind that night. I had waited 1000 years to break that curse, and I was just over enthusiastic. I am truly sorry." Niklaus finished.
We were standing in the living room, Niklaus standing in front of the fireplace, with palm cards, reading me a speech. Bekah and Kol were sitting on the lounges, watching to make sure Niklaus and I didn't kill each other. Probably also to make sure that he reads the speech.
"I accept your apology, Niklaus." I nodded slightly, and smiling. "I forgive you for killing Katerina, I will make new friends. I would like very much if you become one of them."
"I would be honoured." Niklaus smiled, clearly happy we were friends. "Also, call me Nik. Please."
I smiled and rolled my eyes.
"Niklaus, Rebekah, Kol, and who is this lovely woman?" A man's voice entering the conversation. I looked over to the front door, and a man that had dark brown hair and eyes stood there. He stood with a respectable stance and he wore a black, probably expensive, suit.
"I am Victoria." I smiled, curtsying slightly.
"I am Elijah, it is a pleasure to meet you." The man picked up my hand and kissed my knuckles.
"He is our brother." Kol stood up, and put his hand in the small of my back.
"It is nice to finally meet you, Elijah. Kol had told me about you." I smiled politely.
"All good things, I hope?" Elijah smiled.
I shrugged. "He told me that you wouldn't try and kill me he second you laid eyes on me. Like Nik and Bekah."
He looked up at Bekah and Nik. "You two really lack manners. I never thought I would have to say that to you and not Kol about a lady."
I giggled slightly, covering my mouth with my hand.
I could practically hear Kol's smirk, rubbing it in to his siblings.
"That is enough, Elijah." Nik growled, walking out.
Bekah scoffed at his foolishness and followed after him, probably to scold him.
"Victoria, would you like to accompany for a walk through the gardens. I would love to get to know you." Elijah proposed, with a small, polite smile.
"I would love to, thank you." I smiled back, following him as he walked out of the house.
I smiled at Kol, as I shut the front door behind me.
--
Elijah and I had walked through the beautiful gardens of the house, getting to know each other.
I found out he was in love with Katerina, just before she turned. He was not pleased that his younger brother killed her, to say the least.
"I will unsure that Niklaus will pay for the demise of Katerina." Elijah said, holding himself up straight.
"Thank you." I smiled.
We continued to walk, and I told him that I was Kol's mate, and he was happy for me. He said that maybe Kol would be less destructive, now that he had me. I just shrugged and told him that I did not intend to change Kol. He accepted my reasons, but said that whether I mean to or not, I am changing him.
After we learnt the entirety of each other's back stories, we went back inside. The living room was trashed, and Nik and Kol were standing in the middle of the room, covered in blood.
