Disorder Appearing

Chapter 7- My Hero...

"Turn around slowly, and do not make any sudden moves." Well, there goes the attraction. Slowly, I raise my hands in defense, and turn around. There's a guy standing in front of me with some sort of weapon that I immediately recognize from Titus' wall. Whoever this is, they aren't from Earth.

"What are you doing here?" He asks slowly, moving his head slightly to the right as if to size me up. He's tall, very muscular, and he's got a tail. My first reaction is, he's Draconian, but he doesn't look at all like a reptile. He also doesn't look like a human, he's got the head of a cat on a human body, and I'm not exaggerating. It's like a mountain lion's head with a human's body. It's honestly a bit creepy, Titus never mentioned these people to me, what am I supposed to do?

"The better question is, what are you doing here, and why you are you so defensive?" The cat-man cocks his head to the other side of his body and then centers the weapon on my chest.

"You earthlings are all the same, so arrogant and obnoxious." The cat man snarls and I grin sheepishly. Obviously he's not a pleasant person, and my constant smart-assed comments are only making it worse.

"You've got the gun trained on me, and I'm the arrogant and obnoxious one, okay, seems legit." I know it doesn't help, but the comments are helping me stall for time. I need a plan. I have no real fighting skills. I have no weapons. I have nothing, if he lunges, I'm toast.

"You have a fast tongue, very foolish on your part." He snarls again as he slowly advances towards me.

"Foolish? Or incredibly witty?" I laugh, and he gives me an incredibly dirty look.

"ENOUGH! Tell me what you're doing here, now!" He roars and I try to squirm away, he advances again pinning me up against a tree. Now there's seriously nowhere for me to go. I'm officially screwed. What am I going to do? Come on, think! WAIT A MINUTE, TITUS!

Titus has been reading my mind this whole freaking time, now it's going to come into some good use! Titus, um, yeah, I'm in a bit of a situation here. Need help now. I think as hard as I have ever thought before as the cat-man flashes his extremely yellow fangs. He's clearly not amused, but I need to keep stalling until Titus shows up.

Titus, now would be nice! Cat like man is here. He doesn't seem too happy. The cat-man continues to advance towards me, and I'm quickly running out of smart-assed comments to hold him back.

"Can't people just be walking? Why do I need an explanation? I mean for crying out loud, you're the alien here, not me, I'm still curious as to what you're doing here." I smile and he flashes a dangerously dirty look at me.

Titus! Cat man is about to pounce! Need you now! Where the hell is he? When I need him he decides to give me some privacy? Some nerve.

"You are an earthling, but you wreak of something not of this earth. Who are you with?" Now, wait a minute, I thought Titus needed me because of my human scent masked his own, how can this guy smell Titus on me? Maybe it's a cat/human thing? I don't know, but he clearly knows that I have a companion.

"I'm not with anyone, just trying to soak up some of the local scenery." Once again, I'm stalling, and I'm really sucking at it too.

"You are a very bad liar. Where is he? Oh crap...he knows.

"Who." I play it off as innocently as I can manage, but of course, he reads right through it.

"It is not wise to lie to me. I do not like liars." He's got this nasty, somewhat scary look on his face. A look that clearly I do not want to understand.
