Wait For Me (Jungkook BTS)

"You promise to stay with me forever and ever?" Seven year old Amelia solemnly held out her pinky to Jungkook.

"Only if you promise the same for me." He answered with just as much sobriety.

"I promise." Amelia agreed, and just like that, a pact was made.

"Jungkook I'm so sorry I'm late!" Amelia rushed into the room.

Jungkook raised his head, a bitter look on his face. "It's our second anniversary. Couldn't you have been on time?"

"Jungkook I'm sorry. I was trying to-" Amelia was cut short when Jungkook held up his hand.

"Save it. I think I'm going to go home. I waited for three hours for you."

"No wait Jungkook." Amelia grabbed his hand as he walked past. "Please wait, I need to tell you something."

Jungkook shook her off and walked out of the room. Amelia ran after him. "Wait Jungkook!" 

But he simply put in a pair of earbuds and disappeared into the elevator.

"Jungkook!" Amelia ran towards her best friend of fifteen years, and boy friend of two.

Jungkook turned away at the sound of her name. 

"You're still mad at me?" Amelia paused in her footsteps, her voice sounding broken. 

Jungkook ignored her and continued talking with Jimin. 

"Jungkook!" Amelia yelled again. But he got further and further away. "Wait please!" She ran after him. "Jungkook I need to tell you something!" 

But her pleas fell on deaf ears as Jungkook disappeared into the sea of students entering the school.

Amelia stepped back, her eyes showing her defeat. "I need to tell you that I'm leaving."

"Can you give this to Jungkook please?" Amelia grabbed Jimin's arm as he walked past.

Jimin frowned, taking the sheet of paper. "Couldn't you just give it to him yourself?" 

"He's still not talking to me." Amelia said, her eyes slightly downcast. "Just give him the paper alright? And tell him... Tell him I'm sorry I broke my promise." 

Jimin's frown deepened. "Is everything alright Amelia?" 

"Yeah." Amelia smile sadly. "Everything's gonna be fine."

Suddenly, Amelia pulled Jimin into a hug. Jimin's arms came up hesitantly and hugged her back.

Moments later, Amelia let him go. "Bye Jimin." Amelia waved.

"See you later..." Jimin said, slightly confused.

As Amelia walked away, she smiled bitterly. "See you a lot later..." She sighed. "I'm going to miss you Jimin."

"Here." Jimin shoved the paper at Jungkook. "Your girlfriend told me to give this to you. She was acting a little weird you know? She also said sorry she broke her promise whatever that means."

Jungkook frowned slightly as well, before looking down at the paper in his hands.

It was folded neatly, and on the front fold it said "Please don't throw this away. <3" 

Jungkook opened it, and read carefully. When he finished, his eyes went wide, and he dashed out of the room.
