Make It Up To You (V BTS)

"Taehyung..." Kaylee twisted her hands nervously, sitting beside her boyfriend of three years, V, on the couch.

"Yeah?" V took a seat beside her, a large smile on his face. "Did you hear? I just got signed to a huge entertainment company, and I'm training to become an idol! Isn't this amazing?"

Kaylee's jaw dropped, and her eyes watered. This couldn't be happening.

"What's wrong Kay?" V frowned, grabbing her hand.

Kaylee looked up at him, grabbing his hand in both of hers. "Tae... I'm pregnant..." She mumbled.

V stared at her, then burst out laughing. "Good joke Kay! Was that to get back at me when I pranked you the other night?"

Kaylee looked away. "I'm not joking."

V's laughter slowly came to a stop. "Kay... Are you serious? I can't be a father! I just got accepted into a company! Kay I'm going to be famous. I can't be a father!"

Kaylee looked up at him, heartbreak and pain showing in her eyes. "Then go. Chase your dream. I can't, no won't, be the one to hold you back."

V hesitated, before slowly pulling his hand out of her two, and Kaylee smiled sadly. "I wish you every success in your life." She said, standing up. 

V nodded, leaning in to kiss her one more time, placing his hand on her stomach lightly. "I'm sorry Kay. I really am." He blinked back unshed tears, before quickly leaving the room.

Kaylee sat there, staring at the door waiting for him to come back. Waiting for him to say that he made a mistake, and that he loved her.

Waiting for him to come back and say that he would give up his dream for love of her.

"Please welcome... Bangtan Sonyeondan!"

Kaylee smiled bitterly as V walked onto the screen, laughing and clapping. "You made it." She whispered quietly to herself. "I'm proud of you."

There was a knock at the door. Kaylee picked up her one year old son, Noah, and went to go get the door. 

She opened it, a smile on her face. "Hello." She looked up at the person and stepped back. "What are you doing here? You left. You're not supposed to be here."

"I made a mistake." V answered. Kaylee shook her head.

"No! You can't be here!" At the sound of her yell, the little baby Noah began crying. Kaylee immediately looked down at the child in her arms. "Sorry Noah baby." She whispered, bouncing him around a little. "It's alright. Mommy's here."

V watched as Kaylee calmed Noah down, and he settled quietly in her arms.

"Is that my kid?" He asked, his deep voice coming out slightly strangled. 

Kaylee winced and didn't answer. V looked at the small kid in wonder. "He looks just like you." He whispered, his hand coming up to touch the top of his head.

Kaylee jerked away, making his hand fall back at his side. "What did you come here for?" 

V looked up at her, and a look of regret came across his face. "I came to apologize."

"For?" She raised a brow, walking into the apartment. 

V followed after her, shutting the door behind him. "For letting you go. It was the biggest mistake of my life."
