Part 5 Meet the Parents

2 Weeks Later:

"Oh god! I'm so exited! One more week till spring break!" Kat exclaimed. "I know! Can you believe Mom and dad are letting us go to Shenandoah Valley by ourselves?!" Gwen asks. "Well with Jessie and Harry of course, but still!!!" Kat says, "Do ya know if Marley is coming!' she asks. "I hope and he has a car, so we wouldn't have to take the bus!" Gwen says. "You do know that is some guy that's older that you drives us out of the state our parents would be a little suspicious?" Kat says. "Well I guess they could meet him?....." Gwen asks. "Ha! As The Joker?! They would call the police instantly!" Kat exclaims. "Dude! I would never!". "Okay! But they need to meet him soon!". "I know! But can you help me?". "What do you mean?". "Like can you tell them he is our friend? "Sure....". "Okay good, ill call him!" Gwen pulls out her phone and dials. "Hey babe!" he answers almost immediately. "Hehe, you called me babe! But come without makeup to meet my parents pretty please!" Gwen asks. "Sure sweetie anything for you!" he replies. "Haha nice!" Eddie says in the back round. "Shut up!" Marley tells at him. "Hahahah!" the two girls laugh at Marley and Eddie's fighting. "So, when should I come?" Marley asks. "As soon as you can." Gwen says. "Ok, I'm on my way I guess.". "Ok bye!".

The girls walk down the stairs to where their River and their parents were watching TV. Cassidy was as a play date. "Hey, can we talk to you guys for a minute?" Gwen asks. "Sure honey." her mom says turning off the TV. "Umm..." Gwen hesitates. "well, Gwen met this guy and she really likes him and he is my friend and he is very nice and he can drive us to Florida and maybe stay there with us." Kat says. "Oh! Well we will have to meet him first." Their mom says. "Most importantly, I need to meet him!" River exclaims. "Dude calm down!" Kat says. The doorbell rings. "That's him!" Gwen jumps in the air and runs to the door. "She really likes him!" Kat explains. "Hey!" Gwen says as she opens the door. Marley hugs her tightly "I've missed you beautiful!" he says pulling away and walking in. "So what did you say I was here for again?" he asks following Gwen and closing the door. "Remember, you have to meet my family." Gwen says. "Oh ya!''. Gwen's parents, Kat and River walk into the front room. "Hi, I'm Marley." he reaches out to shake hands with Gwen's dad. "Why don't ya come with me son?" Gwen's dad asks. "Crap! Crap! Crap! Crap!" Gwen thinks to herself. "Okay sir." he goes into the kitchen with him. "Alright, we're you in a war or something son?" Harold asks. "Umm..no sir...I..." Marley hesitates and gets chocked up thinking of his father. "Umm...I don't really like talking about it." he manages to say holding back tears. "So, you wanna drive my girls and their friends over spring break?". "Umm....ya! Yes sir!" "Well, that's fine and, call me Harold!" he smiles.

A few minutes later they walk into the living room smiling. "So I'm guessing you two hit it off pretty well!" Kat says. "Haha! ya!" Gwen adds. Marley sits down next to Gwen and she moves a bit closer to him. "So, are you coming?" she asks. "Ya!". Gwen gets up, jumps up and down, then sits back down. "Had to get that out!" she exclaims. "Well alrighty then! Kat says laughing. Buzz! Buzz! Marley's phone goes off. He looks at it. "Oh, umm.....Gwen I gotta go." he says. "Ok text me?" Gwen asks getting up. Marley shows her his phone. "Ooo! Can I come?" She asks. "Umm....to hang out with me and my friends sure!" he lies. "Ok, who are these friends?" Gwen's mom asks. "Uh...John, Eddie, Pam, and Selena. I already know them from my school." Gwen helps with the lie. "Sure, But be back by dinner!". "Okay mom, bye!".
