**Saiges pov**

As i pulled into the grill a felt a sigh leave my chest. I needed tonight. Just me and Stefan, messing around.
The cold fall air hit my legs as I walked into the Grill.

I saw Matt working the bar but other then him I didn't see anyone I knew, meaning Stephen hasn't got here yet.
Great.
Im gonna be that awkward girl in the corner.

I pulled the sleaves of my oversized sweater over my wrists as I took a seat at the bar.
"Hey Matt"

The football player turned around to look at me,
Matt sent me a small smile and leaned his arms against the table.
"what's going on Saige?"

A sigh escaped my lips and I held my head up with my hand.
"You really wanna know?"
He laughed and pulled out a small glass, setting it infront of me.
"Not really, but you look like you need to talk to someone."

He took a pause and grabbed a bottle off the shelf and poured it into the glass about halfway

"And lucky for you im a great listener"
Matt slide the glass over to me and I felt a smirk cross my lips,
I knew Matt and I never really got along until now.
But I can see why Elena and Caroline like him,
He's a good guy all together.

I rose the glass to my lips and took the shot quickly,
I felt the liquid burn my throat and I let out a small sigh.

"Well for one an original vampire is after me. Elijah made me break up with Tyler, because of the whole Klaus thing. Damen and I are...whatever we are. Damen thinks that Stephen has a thing for me. Stephens been really distant these past few days. Elijah doesn't want me to see Damen either. And in a few days its gonna be my first birthday without Lexie..."

I took a deep breath and looked at Matt with a cautious face.
I knew I said a literal mouth full and I didn't want to annoy him.
"And I just literally talked your ear off. Sorry"

The blue eyed boy just let out a small laugh and smiled,
"don't apologize. I told you to tell me remember?"

"Then thank you Matt. It means a lot.."
"Anytime Saige. Anytime"

I made my way back over to the pool table just in time to see Stephan walk into the grill. He had some serious explaining to do. Like major.
When his eyes met mine my stomach dropped instantly..
He had a worried expression,
And I could smell blood...
His...and another vampires.

He ran over to me and placed his hands on my shoulders carefully.
"Saige. Hes here. He knows I have you. you're not safe."

I couldn't move.
I couldn't feel my body anymore. Everything just felt...numb.
I was going to die...wasn't I?

"Saige? Saige!"
His warm voice brought me back to my body and my eyes met his once again.

"What do I do Stephen?"
He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair quickly.
"Stay here. Klaus already attacked me once today. I need to go make sure Damens okay. Ill grab him and come back for you. Just stay at the bar okay?"

All I could do was nod.
I just.
I cant.
Ugh.
My mind was still trying to process it all...and the fact that the sent of his blood was filling my nose didn't help.

I ran to the bar and instantly asked Matt for a refill that he happily gave me.
But when Mary's face went pale.
I knew I was in for it.
A figure set beside me.
And smirked.
Damn.
He smirked like the devil.
