WHY?

Why am I here?

Why do I care?

Why do I bother?

At times I wish I didn’t care

I wish I could do whatever I wanted

Stop being the robotic being that rules over me

The obedient do-this and do-that person

The goodie-two-shoes

They hate me for it

But I can’t stop this is the way I’ve been raised

This is my future

I will forever be this way

My mother has me under a hook

If I slip up ever I’ll get the talk

“You’re a mini version of HER”

“You are starting to act just like HER”

“You don’t want to end up like HER”

“You see how SHE is acting”

“You’re not supposed to like boys like that, and then you will do what SHE did”

Why the questions?

Why should I answer?

Why should SHE be the rubric of my life?

ONE mistake that SHE made has created the epitome of my life

She fell in love

Why can’t I do that too?

WHY?

WHY?

WHY?

WHY?
