~Ally's POV~
Drip. Drip. Drip.
The sound of the rain went hitting against the window.
...
I sit up a bit, and wipe my sleepy eyes with my hands. As I glance over to the clock, I see the time. '7:33 a.m.' it read. I had the tendency to wake around this time, even on the weekends, due to my school schedule.
I get out the bed, and make my way over to the window, looking outside at the light gray sky, clouds staring to form as it continued to rain.
I retighten the hair scrunchie that was keeping my hair up into it's high pony tail, before making my way Emily's room.
Peeking inside, I see that she's still fast asleep, so I let her be, and continue my way downstairs to the kitchen.
My parents should be awoken by now.
"I didn't because I couldn't."I overhear someone talking on the phone, as I inch closer to the kitchen.
"It was-"
"Can we just meet up?"
"I'll be there in 10."
I walk into the kitchen, seeing Daniella on the phone.
"Who's that?"I mouth, pointing to the phone.
"Hold on."She mouths back, before pointing over to a note left on the counter.
I pick it up, seeing that it was a note left from my parents.
Danielle & Ally,
We left out to the lawyers office to talk about the case. We do not know what time we'll be back, since it's all the way across town, so I left money on the Coffee Table. See you later.
Love, Mom & Dad
I take out a bowl from the cabinet, whilst Danielle finished on the phone.
"So, who was that?"I take out a box of 'Frosted Flakes' cereal.
"Tanner."Danielle replies with a sigh.
"Everything alright?"I question, pouring the cereal into the bowl.
"I don't know."She says honestly, taking out the milk and passing it over to me. "But i'm about to go meet him so that we can talk.. So thar means you'll be here by yourself- well you and Em."
I nod.
"Ok."I pour milk into the bowl.
"I shouldn't be gone that long."Danielle picks up an umbrella, that was hanging on the hook in the kitchen.
"Maybe you can call Austin to come over."Dani suggests, pulling on her jacket.
"I haven't talking to him since last night. I'm sure he's busy with Lexi."I tell her.
"Just call."Danielle says, before making her way out of the house.
I place the milk carton back into the fridge, and take out the sugar.
I chuckle, remembering how I used to be lectured when I was younger for putting too much sugar on my Frosted Flakes, by my mom. But come on. How can you not eat them with lots of sugar. My mom says I get it from my dad since he does the same thing, and I guess she's right.
As i'm eating my cereal, I decide to take Dani's advice and call Austin.
Dialing his number and holding the phone up to my ear, I hear the familiar ringing tone.
