The time between us

Chapter 1

" Hey Luci, Jasmine and I are going to a party tonight at  Josh's house, you should come. There's going to be great food and some cute guys who are single, I can introduce you to a guy I know."  Annika was Luci's best friend since preschool. She's always been the party outgoing girl. " Um.. I can't, my brother and his wife are in town and they invited me to a football game.  And when I get home I have to study for finals, but maybe next time, I' m really sorry."  Luci had a hard time getting to know people at parties anyways, she's quit shy around new people,  but once you get to know her she's really cool, smart, and fun.
  "No big deal, I totally understand, It would be kinda rude to not go to the game with brother and his wife who invited you and paid for your ticket. Next time would be fine too." Annika started to walk off  to her car. She was wearing a nit scarf and some brown booties. Her medium long red hair blew as the wind hit. "See you later. By the way GO PACK GO!!!" 

Luci enjoyed her best friend and how outgoing and fun she was, only thing that's between their friendship is her studying and getting perfect grades. She was sort of a perfectionist but she said the only way to have no regrets is to make sure you do everything right. Her very long, curly, brown hair that passed her butt flung like a flag as walked back to the library . She heard her phone ring in her big black purse. She quick grabbed it and saw that her brother sent her a text. It said to make sure that's she ready by 6:00 so that he could pick her up.

Luci sat inside a big black chair, she thought her school's library was nice and comforting, with its big shelves full with hundreds of books.

While she was dozing off she received another text, this time it wasn't from her brother it was from a total different number, the weird thing was it was only four digits long with no area code. "That's strange." she mumbled. As she look at the text it said, You may not know me but I know you, I watch you walk to your parent's car as you head home from school, time is running and so will YOU.
"OH MY GOSH!!!!!!! " as she panicked with fear. She quickly grabbed her phone and was about to call Annika until her phone buzzed. It was another message from the same number.
              Tick tok tick tok.
She almost froze and started to feel numb. She knew she had to do something. Was she going to call Annika or her parents? She thought it through and then decided to call Annika. She knew if she called her parents they might start assuming that she was hanging out with a stranger.

Ring,  Ring, Ring, Ring... Hey, it's Annika, sorry I'm busy now,  talk to you later.  Luci  trembled as she recorded her voicemail, "Annika, you really need you to answer its," she got interrupted by her call back from on Annika. "Annika, hey, I really need to talk to you, yeah it's pretty important. Well this person contacted me, and the weird part was their was no area code and only a four-number digit. I know it's pretty scary. And I don't know wha," she got interrupted by Annika's scream, "Annika, Annika, are you there? Annika talk to me!! ANNIKA!!!!!!!!"
