The time between us

Chapter 2

Luci froze with fear as tears start running down her delicate face. Her deep, dark, brown eyes showed sadness, fear, and weariness. She wish there was something she could do. An idea popped up in her head, she
would call the police, report the messages, and report the incident with Annika.

"Yes I need help, my friend just got captured and-, she got interrupted again.
"Sorry ma'am but the human officers are on "break", maybe you could come to the station and sort things out." Luci widened her eyes in disbelief of what she heard.
"Who the hell are you and what do you mean human officers are on "break"?!"she said in a raised voice. "Darling, don't you see," Luci interrupted the officer, "Don't you dare call me "darling" I don't know you and I want the real officers who are supposedly on "break". She soon realized that the artificial officer hung up.

Luci was so confused, this day was too much for her to handle. She got weird messages, her friend was gone, how could this day get any worse. She remembered something, she looked at her phone it said 5:58. 2 minutes until her brother picks her up. Quickly she ran outside and waited.

Five, ten, fifteen minutes have gone by and still no car came. She called her brother but got no answer. She called her parents and she still got no answer. She screamed and sobbed and still no one came by. Suddenly she heard someone walk close. " Hello Luci, I see you've been here for quit some time."
