<Time Jump 3 weeks>
Keylie's POV
I laid on my bed, still no contact from my father. But things with James had been going well, though this last week we had barely seen each other, I touched the bracelet he gave me.. He always said he was busy. So I had been hanging with Pete. He has become my best friend. I yawned as my phone buzzed.
James- You awake?
Me- Yes, did you sleep well?
James- I did. Did you?
Me- Yes.
James- Well, I wanted to know if you wanted to go on a date at 3? At the library?
Me- That seems like a plan! I'll meet you there?
James- Yes, 3 o-clock, by the fiction books. Don't be late. Love you.
Me- Love you too.
I got up and got up and dressed. I had a few hours to kill so I went to gym in the tower. I worked out for a few hours, then got ready for the date. I'm so glad he has finally made time to spend time with me. I read a book until 2:30 rolled around and walked to the nearby library. I looked at my watch as I walked in, 2;59. Perfect. I walked to my favorite spot, the fiction books, but stopped short at the sight in front of me. James was kissing another girl... He looked up and saw me and pulled away. "Keylie! It wasn't what it looks like!" I teleported out of there as quick as possible.
I wound up in Central Park. He was kissing another girl... was this why he had no time for me? I don't understand. I needed to talk to someone. I needed to talk to Pete. I texted him.
Me- Peter, are you there? This is important.
Me- Pete?
Me- Peter?
I tried calling him, still no answer. I decided to just go to his house. I teleported to his front door, I've learned not to just barge in any more. I knocked on the door and Aunt May answered the door. "Hey Keylie. How are you?" I tried to smile, but was on the verge of tears. "I'm ok, is Pete here?" She looked into the house. "Yes... But he is about to leave, he has a guest." She said. I saw Pete walking to the door holding hands and laughing with a girl. My heart dropped, if possible, even lower. "I've got to go Aunt May." I said quickly. I ran off until I was out of sight and teleported back to my room. I collapsed onto my bed and sobbed. I felt utterly alone. I wanted to go home. I tried calling for Heimdall. "Heimdall please open the bifrost." I begged. But nothing happened. Then I thought about portals, my dad said they came at random.
Could I find one? I closed my eyes and tried to focus my energy on finding one. A picture of a giant oak came in my head. I knew that tree. It was the old oak in the middle of Central Park. I looked at my wrist and yanked off the bracelet, got changed into my Asgardian clothes. I teleported there and tried to shake the dizziness from my head. I was becoming extremely drained from my magic. I looked at the hole in the tree I usually hide in to read. But how is that a portal? I stumbled up to it and clumsily pulled myself inside. At first nothing happened and I felt like passing out. I walked to the very back of the tree and put my hand on the wood. But my hand fell through. I took it away shocked. The Portal was invisible. I started to put my hand in... but stopped for a moment. What if this one didn't end in Asgard? Well, any place is better than here.
I walked straight into the portal, leaving earth behind.
Bucky's POV
I set up the room the library let me use. It would just be me and Keylie. I have been planning this all week. She's been feeling down about her dad not talking to her, and her grandfather not letting her come home. So I hope this will cheer her up. I walked out to the fiction section where I told her to meet. This girl walked up to me and smiled. "Hey hottie." I wanted to barf. "What do you want? Not trying to be rude but my girlfriend is on her way." I said annoyed. "Yeah, I know. She doesn't deserve you. You need someone who is a bit prettier. Like me." She said. I frowned. "How do you know she was coming?" She smiled "I've been watching you guys, for a few weeks now. It was mostly just for fun, then I recognized you from TV. Your the Winter Soldier." My smile dropped. "Now, unless you want me to tweet that I found you. And unless you want a bunch of reporters and people following you. I suggest you do what I want." I scowled. "That's blackmail." I said. "Sort of. But all I want is one simple thing." She said smirking. "Which is?" I asked, wanting her to go so I could focus on Keylie. " A kiss. That's it, one good kiss." I thought for a moment, I needed to not be found. "Fine." It was only on kiss right? Keylie would never even know.. She kisses me, I try to pull back but she holds my neck. I look up and see Keylie staring in shock. I push her off me and try to explain. But she disappears. I run down the hall through the library and out the door. I ran all the way back to the tower and into her room. "Oh no..." I saw the bracelet and picked it up and slipped it into my pocket. I thought for a frantic moment then ran to tell the Avengers. Thor thankfully was here. I explained that she had ran off. And I told them why. Steve comforted me then we all spread out to find her.
We searched all day, no one could find her. I walked into her room, around 11 pm and sat on her bed. Looking at all the pictures on the wall. There were tons from all different times. Like the time Pepper took a picture of her trying to figure out how to use the toaster. She had this adorable scowl on his her face. There was another of her and Peter playing chess. She was laughing as Peter as he was pouting about her winning. Then it snapped in my mind. We didn't check Peter's house. I got on my motorcycle and booked it over there. I knocked on the door, and Peter's aunt answered it. "Hi, I was wondering if Peter is here, or Keylie. I know this is really late... but its important " She shook her head. "She came over earlier today, but Peter was on his way out with his date. She's such a sweet girl, Mary Jane was her name. Do you know her?" She asked. "No, did Keylie say what she needed Peter for?" She smiled sadly. "No, but she did seem a bit upset. She ran off. I'm sorry." I just nodded. "She's missing... We can't find her, so can you just keep an eye out, and ask Peter to do the same?" I asked and handed her a piece of paper with my number. "Of course dear. Good luck and I will be sure to keep my eye out." I thanked her and left. Oh gosh Keylie... where were you.
Peter's POV
I laughed at M.J's face when I told her I hate chocolate ice-cream. I heard Aunt May talking to someone at the door as I walked up. I saw Keylie, but then she ran off. I was worried but Aunt May told me to just go and have fun. It was my first real date since Gwen died... so I decided to just do as she said.
The date went really well and I had forgotten about Keylie. I walked into the house around 11:30 pm. Aunt May was sitting at the table with her tea. "Hey Aunt May." I said and sat down. She just stared into space. "Are you ok?" I asked and she looked at me. "Oh. I'm sorry Peter. I was just thinking. How was your date?" I smiled. "It was awesome, I even set up a second one." She just nodded. "Ok, somethings wrong. What are you hiding." She sighed. "Keylie's gone missing." My smile dropped off my face. "What??" I asked shocked. "Her boyfriend came over half an hour ago.. Asked if I could keep my eye out. Poor thing. I wonder where she is." I stood up. "I'll be back, don't wait up." I ran outside and took off my clothes to reveal my spider suit, I put on my mask and put my clothes in my backpack. I swung over to the tower and walked in to their living room where they were gathered around a table drinking coffee. Thor was talking to Tony and Steve was comforting Bucky. "Why did she leave?" I demanded and all their heads turned to me.
