(Shane's pov.)
I had gotten back from a mission in South Africa. I had lost one of my best Sargents that day, he was also one of my only friends in the field. I had been called in by one of my naval officers. It had been for something about Thomas, my Sargent who was killed in action. "Lieutenant Wolfe, as you know Sargent Thomas Myers was killed in South Africa two days ago. He asked that if anything happened to him that you would carry out a final mission for him. So, I'm here to ask you if you would honor his wishes" my higher officer told me. "What is this last mission that he wold like me to accomplish" I asked the naval officer. "He asked for you to agree before telling you the details of this mission" he said. "Yes sir, I will take this mission" I told him. "Sargent Myers wanted you to care for his child after he died, the mother died in childbirth and his family members are all officers in the U.S. militarily. He had known about your family background and asked for you to care for his child like he would have" he told me, as I stood there wondering why he would leave me with the responsibility of his child."Sir, how will I know when I finish this mission" I asked him. "When she grows up to be a respectable young woman under your care" he said. "His daughter is 3 years old, and if you don't accept this mission she will be put into the foster system" he said. "I will take this mission, but will I be able to work on other missions" I asked him. "It will be like she is your child, so yes you will work on missions but still have to take care of the child" he told me. "Sir, the girl is here. Are you ready to sign the papers Mr. Wolfe" a woman said, holding a baby and walking in the room. "I think he's ready, aren't you lieutenant" the officer asked. "Yes, what's her name" I answered and asked the officer. "Her name is Samantha Myers, but it will soon become Wolfe" he answered.
I looked to the small toddler and saw she was sleeping peacefully, she had brown hair and an unrecognizable eye color since her eyes were closed. She looked like her father all right, but she couldn't know about him, I was soon to become a father of a child that was my friends.
After I signed the paperwork, I took the sleeping child into my arms and walked to my small room in the navy headquarters that now had a crib in it. I sat the girl in the crib and started to watch her small breaths leaving her mouth, and her chest rising up and down. Soon all I could focus on was the sound of my heartbeat, as I knew that after today my life had changed forever.

Fanfiction...it's my first story, so don't hate. I really love this movie, and I had an idea. Soooo I wrote this. It's about Sam Wolfe, she was adopted by Shane Wolfe at 3years old when her Navy Seals father was killed in action. All was good, except she did...
