"Hustle! Kick him, he can do better than that!" Amber yelled at Alexis as Miko turned the first barrel at the rodeo.  "Leg forward, lean out! Kick em'!" She called to them again. Third barrel was a breeze, and one final time, "Run him home! Go!" 14.566. That's a great time for this arena! Hope I can beat it. She was next, Rocky was snorting and prancing beneath her. Go. They lunged off the ground and raced toward first. We're going to hit it head on! Oh god. She tried to turn, but Rocky wouldn't listen. He barged right into it, and still tried to turn it. He tripped over the barrel and fell, crushing her leg under him and filling her lungs with dust. Her stomach was agonized in the area where the saddle horn stabbed her. But she didn't care. Tears blurred her vision as she held his head in her arms. His blue eyes were empty, lacking the spirit they once held. Arena officials raced to help them. Before they could reach them, she yelled with such a voice, even the most heartless person would crumble when they heard it. She called, "If you take me away from him, so help me god, you will be sorry." They all stopped in their tracks, understanding the situation and called the vet. She immediately returned her gaze to Rocky.  She knew this was the end. She sobbed her heartfelt goodbyes. Amber took off his saddle and threw it to the side, leaving only his bridle, and bloodstained boots on. "I love you, so much. You were the best thing that has ever happened to me. You were there when no one else was. You were my shoulder to cry on, you were my best friend. You believed in me when no one else did, and you were here to lead me through it
