We Are

Theory lesson

"Welcome class to Robotics!" Shouts Professor Theory excitedly waving his hands around in a surprisingly fast motion, until he spots me.
He slowly parades over to my desk and whispers,"Where were you last night?"
"I told you! I was ill"
"You know you don't have to lie to me!"
"I'm not! I was knocked out when Jack pushed Mark into the pool and had to stay in the medical wing with a girl called Chess!"
"...Chess you say? Did you challenge her by any chance?"
"Yes.."
"After this...challenge did she happen to have darker eyes and hair?"
"...yes.."
"Great! Anyway...you blacked out after Mark was pushed into the pool right? "
"Yes.."
"Ok....back to work, " Theory says before walking back to the front of the class.
He stares at the window on his far right for more than a minute before slowly turning towards the class and opening his mouth a few time.
"TODAY! We will be reinacting the greatest scenes from our history!" He shouts with some much feeling he could inspire a whole army who were not only five seconds ago complaining about the good-old-day of yore!
"Yo idionuss! This is Robotics not drama!" Shouts a boy before the proffesor snaps around to look at him.
"Do I look like I care?" He asks before sickeningly laughing at the boy.
"He, bozo! How are we supposed to do that! There are about twenty of us and a few villans!" Shouts an annoying snob of a boy who 'just so happened' to accidently trip a boy wearing a hat just because he was a villain.
"Honestly I'm thinking Hero's are the real villans!" I hopelessly whisper to my racoon who copies my movement of looking exhausted and shaking his head.

"Anyway! I think I'll put you into groups! So..." he starts as he pushed me away from my desk and towards another girl, he then grabs a few other girls and places them beside me,"Perfect!"
I look at the girls around me.
"How is ya doing?" Asks one as she sticks out a hand for me to shake, I eye it suspiciously before my racoon jumps onto my shoulder and eyes her with me.
"Well...ok..don't take my hand.." she says before taking her hand away.
"I'm Ajay by the way! That's Megan and Ty over there and the smart one's Jayne!" She says while pointing the other girls around me.
"I guess we'll have to select a piece of history?" I say as we all try to think of something.
"How about a famous one?"
"Such as..."
"A scene from Peter pan?" I randomly ask as I spot a specific necklace around Ajay's neck.
"Ok! Let's get this rolling! Ajay, you're Peter!" Shouts Jayne as she plays punches Ajay but ends up falling over and hurting herself because Ajay moved out of the way.
"Ok and what ever your name is will be Hook I guess!" Says Meg and Ty as they high five at each other.
"Great! I'll just be over here if you need me!" I sarcastically smile as I turn around to walk away.
"Don't walk away from me Hook!" Shouts Ajay getting into character.
I stop in my tracks and place my racoon on a near by table before slowly whispering through gritted teeth,"What did you call me little boy?"
"You heard me! Come at me, bro!"
I turn towards Ajay before smiling and laughing at her before taking a breath and stopping.
"You know, I'd really like to see the world from your point of view but I'm afraid I can't stick my head that far up my ASS!"
"And I'd really like to see you dead! Looks like we both aren't going to get our wishes!" I smirk at my come-back before we both burst out laughing at our fake rage at each other.
"Dude! You're really good!" Shouts Ajay as she smiles and slaps me on the back.
"Same for you!" I compliment her before a meeting is issued for all the villans.
"Sorry, we've got to go!" Jaynee says before running off.

(That's weird, I could have sweared Ajay was a descendant of Peter pan. Then what's she doing in villans? I guess I'll never know! ) I just realised that this is a robotics class...well I guess I'm just going to roll with this!

"Hey! Cat was it? You alone?" Asks a long-haired boy from across the table.
"Who's asking?"
"Me! Now, do you think you'd be up for joining me and a few of my friends tonight?" He asks before winking at me and handing me a slip of paper.
I sigh before handing it back to him,"Sorry but I know your kind and I'm not going to take the bait." I say weakly before walking off to the hall to spy on the villains.
"Hey wait up!" I hear him say before I smash a door into his face...'accidently'.
"Cat! Please!" He begs before I turn back to him.
"Make it quick!"
"I'm not asking you to flipping go to my bedroom at midnight! Just please come!"
I giggle at his joke before looking at him,"Sure! Just make sure to text me when it starts, I'm going out to town with some friends in half an hour" I explain before turning my back on him.
"...isn't leaving school against the rules..."
"Why should I care?"
"...You're a hero..you..you've got to care! We've got to care, we've got to be perfect and follow every rule!"
I turn back to him just before I go through the exit to the school, "A friend once told me that we shouldn't let our fate change our legacy. I think you should think about those words ok?"
