"WHAT?" Cameron screams and the librarian shushes us so hard I think her dentures have fallen out.
"I knew you were a bad girl! Let's do it!" Nate yells.
"All right you three, get out!" The librarian points her wrinkled finger towards the door and we walk out.
"What the f*ck is your problem Vanessa?" Cameron says, "Why would you want to do that?"
"Maybe because I want to get back at that sl*t Nicole for putting shaving cream in my locker?" I say.
"Why do you need our help?" He continues.
"Uh. Hello?" I say raising my cast.
Nate shoves him hard, "Come on man. Let's just do it!"
"Fine." Cameron groans and walks into the empty halls.
"We have to go now! It's the end of school we have only a few hours!" I say excitedly.
"For a badgirl you're pretty jumpy." Nate mutters.
"F*ck you." I mumble and I shove him.
"Yep. Bad girl is back." He says rubbing his arm.
We walk to the parking lot and we enter Cameron's truck. Me in the front with Cameron and Nate in the back seat.
"What are we doing exactly?" Cameron says as he drives to the department store.
"Just know that we need spray paint and lots of glue and feathers." I say mischievously.
Nate grins and laughs, "Nicole will get what's coming."
We enter the department and head straight to the utility aisle grabbing cans of spray paint of all the colours you can think of
We walk back to the truck smiling and breathinf heavily because of all the excitement.
"Now what?" Cameron says smiling.
"We drive to school. And wait." I say smiling at the two of them.
Five hours later
It's nine o'clock at school is pitch black, we're in the truck wearing balaclavas and spray cans in our hands.
"Don't you think this is all a bit too much?" Cameron hesitates.
"I want to make my mark. This is the way to do it." I say.
"Yeah that's exactly what you should do! Cameron stop being a huge p*ssy." Nate says high fiving me.
"Do you guys remember the plan?" I say.
"Yep." Nate says.
Cameron hesitates but Nate shoves him, "Uh. Yeah."
"Perfect. Now all we're going to do this quietly and stealthily. Nate you take the administration block, I'll do the cafeteria and Cameron the hallways."
"Let's go b*tches!" Nate declares and jumps out of the car.
"F*ck yes!" I declare back.
Cameron does a measly "Yoo hoo!" and sighs sadly.
"Look, if you're too scared, me and Nate can do this alone." I say looking at Cameron when we reach the school door.
"No. I'm going to do this!"
"That's right buddy. Let's do this!" Nate yells and I kick him in the leg.
"You idiot! They're guards everywhere!" I hiss angrily.
"Oops. Sorry." He says and starts to pick the lock.
"Let's go." I whisper and we run into the empty halls of Silverridge High School.
School looks so scary at night. Hard footsteps of guards, the eerie whistle of the wind and the empty classrooms. It's even scary.
I run to the cafeteria silently and I pull out my spray paint can with my only good hand. I remove my mask and I start spraying.
CAMERON'S POV
I'v never been so scared in my life, I shakily write the message I hear footsteps and my heart stops. I sigh relaxing a little when I see it's just Van.
"Are you done?" She says and I notice her green eyes are twinkling in the light and I am just mesmerised.
"Uh. Yeah." I look up proudly at what I've written. I take off my balaclava and I pass my hand through my hair.
'F*CK NICOLE BROWN!'
"It's perfect." And she starts laughing loudly. She looks beautiful, her head snapping back and her clutching her stomach and her snorting loudly. I'm in love with her laugh. She quickly covers her mouth, "Sorry."
"No!" I say then I slap my mouth, "Continue. You have a nice laugh." I whisper.
"Yeah right. I hate my laugh. It really ruins the whole badgirl look." She says looking down at her black heels.
"It doesn't. It makes you. You." I say edging closer to her.
"You have no idea what I'm like Cameron." She says staring up at me.
"Maybe I can get to know you?" I mumble.
I can see her eyes filled with excitement and happiness that I just grab her face and I smash my lips onto hers.
And we kiss.
She opens her mouth and I deepen the kiss, our tongues dancing perfectly and she moans quietly as I push her against the wall.
"Woah, dude I didn't know you had that in you!" I hear Nate say and when I turn to look at him his torch is facing us brightly.
"Um I'm sorry about that." I say quickly.
"Yeah." She manages to say.
The silence lingers for a few minutes until Nate breaks it.
"Nate." I say through gritted teeth staring angrily at him.
"It was. Good." She mumbles.
"Let's get the f*ck out of here, I hate being at school." Nate says grabbing us and we are squashed together.
I stare at Van and she smiles at me, we walk together out of school.
"Dude drop me off here." Nate says pointing at the bus stop round the corner of his house.
"See you later." Vanessa says waving.
"Bye you two." He winks and strolls off into the night.
"So where do you live?" I say staring at the road.
"Cameron stop." Van says annoyedly.
I sigh and I park next to an old abandoned kids park near Nate's house.
"What?" I say looking at her.
"Don't pretend you don't remember it happening." She says confidently.
"I know." I mumble.
"I just think we're better as friends, you know?" She says smiling weakly.
No! I want to be with you! Kiss you over and over again! Is what I want to say but it just doesn't seem to come out and I say something that I will always regret.
"Yep. Just friends." I say faking a smile.
"Good. Now let's go!" She says a little too brightly.
She navigates me to her apartment building and it is very tumbled down and in bad shape.
"Nice place." I say kindly.
She rolls her eyes and mutters f*ck under her breath, "Stop lying Cameron. Anyway thanks for the help. I'll see you tomorrow."
"Goodbye Vanessa."
I drive to my house and I shut the door leaning against it wincing at the thought of us just being friends.
