Prologue

Imagine, waking up and feeling the cool spring air on your smooth face when you step outside to feel the weather. Then a shadow covers the sun and you look up to see what could possibly cover that much sky. That was once Harlequin.

These shadows now rule the lands and the skies. Their steps tremble the earth. Their tails cause raging winds. Their breath causes seasons to change and their wings can cause hurricanes. Are you scared or relieved to have them sharing the planet with mankind?

Harlequin. Every village from north to south knows that name as "The Vanquisher of Evil". There are many stories about this young Harlequin and there are many versions of his victories.

Harlequin was born in the South, to be more precise south of what is now Russia and north of what is now Iran. It was called Vecren before the war, which lead to many deaths and the extinction of the shadow creatures.

Harlequin was found in Vecren on a warm summer's eve. No one knew where he came from or who he belonged to. Some believed the universe brought him to bring peace among Vecren. He was found by a girl who was his age, 10 years old. She brought him to her parent's small but cozy cottage on the edge of the city. The little girl was named Wynter.

You may think 10, that is young to have a connection or "bond" but these two just proved you wrong. Their friendship lasted through everything. Their bond was insane for even the storytellers to believe. The fought in the war with the shadow creatures side by side.
