"Igirre needs to speak to you and Harlequin about the future." Fundor knew he should've hinted at it earlier but was nervous Wynter wouldn't like him.
"Please get down and walk towards Harlequin, I will be right next to you." Fundor knew Igirre wanted to speak with him alone.
"Okay. Can't wait to meet Igirre." Wynter climbed down off of Fundor's back and realized his scales were hard but not sharp at the ends as if he couldn't hurt her. It was comforting. More than comforting. It was special.
"Please crawl down slowly and carefully, Harlequin and stand by that tree over there with Wynter. I am going to speak with Fundor." Harlequin was half way down when he felt Wynter jumping at him and grabbing his shoes.
"Come and get them!" Wynter was also very happy. She felt as if nothing could go bad. She ran off towards the tree.
"WYNTER! Come on!" They were finally messing around like the use to. They were happy. They chased each other like little children while the dragons spoke as if they were the adults now.
"Hello, Fundor. How are you?"
"Hello. I am happy to see my rider happy."
"Don't get too comfortable we have to tell them about the war that they must fight."
"The war. How will we tell them?"
"After dinner. We will have them go back to their cottage to eat and come back to see us in the night. So we will not be seen so obviously.
"Wynter, Igirre is telling me to go to the cottage. Want to come with?" Harlequin was so happy to have the bond with his closest friend again.
"Yes. I am starved." Wynter knew that Harley was extremely happy and she loved to see the glisten in his eyes and the shine of his teeth when he smiled at her. His pearly whites reminded her of Igirre and how they are so beautiful together. They were meant to be.
