I've been around school all of my life. It's pretty obvious that everyone has cheated at some point, and that's really sad honestly. Cheating doesn't help the person being cheated off of or the actual person cheating for his or her benefit. I've been on the subject of both. I've cheated, and I've been cheated off of. Once you hit high school you become very tempted to cheat more and more. You have more homework, more assignments, and more responsibilities. I feel as though cheating is a major detriment to school. I believe it has gotten worse since the early days of school. Times have changed. Kids are more athletic and are involved in more extra-curricular activities, and unfortunately, homework is not number one on their priority list. I encourage anyone who cheats to just do their homework. It benefits you. You learn more and it makes tests and quizzes easier in the end. Has it gotten worse? Absolutely. Will this ever change? Absolutely not.
