Emma's POV

Today was the day. Mum's funeral. Josh is taking Jenna and Isobel round to Uncle Harry's while he comes to the funeral. Josh never knew mum, he never knew what she was like before she tried to take me or before she shot him but never the less he's comiing to pay respect. He asked Jack if he could say a little something and Jack agreed happily. I was suprised at Josh because he never asks anything of his own back but this he did. Josh was En Route to Harry's with the twins leaving me time to get ready. I scrambled out of bed and headed into the bathroom, grabbing a towel on my way. I took off my pajama's and underwear and climbed into the shower, allowing the hot water to cover my body. I quickly wash my hair and body, I climbed out of the shower and wrapped my towel around my body. I searched through my wardrobe and found my black dress, cardigan and heels. I dried myself off and pulled on my underwear and dress. I put on my shoes and cardigan. I blow dried my hair, leaving it in the curly state it was in, the way my mum used to love it. Josh had come back from taking the twins and was getting dressed into his suit.

"You okay baby?" I nodded shyly and smiled at him. He smiled back and opened his arms. I walked straight into them and broke down.

"I'm scared Josh..." I mumbled into his chest. Josh held me tighter to him and kissed my head.

"I know but it's something you have to do hun, no matter what she has done to you in the past you have to say goodbye one way or another. Come on" Josh wiped away my tears and took hold of my hand, interwining our fingers. We left the house and climbed into the car.

The car journey was silent. Too silent. We pulled up outside the church. I sighed and got out the car to see Dad talking to Jack at the door. Gosh, he hadn't changed. I walked up towards the door. Dad and Jack's heads snapped towards me and smiled apologetically.

"I'm fine, seriously." Jack let out a small smile.

"We never said anything Em." I shook my head meaningfully at Jack.

"You never had too." I pulled Jack into a hug. "You've not changed one bit Jack" Jack let go of me, I stepped back and Dad put his arm around me.

"I could say the same for you, I take it this is Josh?" Josh nodded and shook Jack's hand. Jack signalled for us to go into the church and sit to the front. I looked down at the service books, A picture of Me and Mum on the front. The only photo of Mum anyone ever got...

Goodbye Megan Chantelle Johnson

I took a seat sat inbetween Josh and Dad. Josh was holding my hand as Dad was rubbing my back. The vicar came in and started the ceromony. I wasnt really paying, more paying attention to crying then listening. That was until I heard Charlie's voice. My head shot up, my eyes becoming wide. How he'd grown up...Gosh. He was telling stories about what we got upto, holidays. Pretty much what Dad had been talking to Josh about last night. Charlie held out his hand for mine. I looked at Josh who nodded his head in agreement. I took hold of Charlie's hand and stood up, he pulled me into a hug and whispering into my ear.

"Em, I'm so sorry for the loss of Megan! I've missed you so much!" He let go of my and kissed my cheek, allowing me to start with my speech. I pulled out the piece of paper from my pocket of my cardigan. I unfolded it and sighed.

"Right, too be honest, I'm not good with speeches so I'm sorry if it's a bit lame. I'm going to admit something too you but first of all I want to thankyou all for coming. I know it would mean alot. I have never really liked my mum after all she put me through. She would often abuse me and things I'd rather not discuss but no matter what she was my mum and nothing can change that. She was there for me when I needed her and I never got to t-thank her..." I broke down in tears. I looked straight at Dad.
