The One and Only (Nash Grier Fanfic)

"Kristian, Alexis, can y'all come down her for a minute?!" My mom yelled from downstairs. I opened my door the same time my little sister did. We both head down the stairs to see both my parents sitting on the couch. I was praying we weren't going to be in trouble. "Take a seat, we have something to tell y'all." My mom stated. Alexis sat on the recliner and I took a seat on the floor.

"My job has gotten transferred. We will have to move in a week." My dad said in a soft voice. I was shocked. My eyes widened as I stood up, "WHAT? No, no, no! We CAN'T move! I love it here! Softball season just started! I CAN NOT leave my friends!" I yelled, not directly at my parents, but in my hands. My eyes were tearing up, of course I didn't want to move! I'm a freshman in high school and I heard it's very hard to start at a new high school as a freshman, since we are known as 'Fresh Meat'.

My school is small, we live in a small town, it's a perfect size for me! I don't want to be at some massive high school that seems like a freaking college to me. Plus it's so hard to make new friends. And what if I try out for softball at a new school and I'm not as good as everyone else? I love softball and I'm one of the best in my small town of Manchester. It's not fair!

I looked up at my parents with tears rolling down my face. I could tell they were heartbroken, but we have to move for the benefit of the family. I looked back to Alexis as she was perfectly fine. She wasn't yelling or crying. She was just staring, right past me, her beautiful ocean blue eyes wide open as she was lost in a stare. She snapped out of it and said, "YAY! I hate it here!" Then she put on her biggest smile.

I guess I'll find a bright side to it all. Seeing my sister happy, made me happy. Hey! Maybe we are moving to Hawaii! Or Florida! I love oceans, and I hate the cold in Michigan. Or maybe even my dream state I wanted to move to when I'm older, hopefully it'll be North Carolina. If I'm lucky. I want to move there because it's a perfect state for me, borderline of the ocean and it's closer to my cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. I'm originally from Louisiana.

I looked back at my parents, dried up my tears, smiled and asked, "Where we moving?" They smiled and looked like they were relieved. My mom looked directly in my hazel/brown eyes and said, "Charlotte, North Carolina."

My heart raced as I looked at Alexis as we spoke to each other with our eyes, we were thinking the same thing. I put a huge smile on my face and said to my parents, "Maybe this won't be as bad as I thought! Despite the fact I have to leave my friends, I will make new ones! Maybe even better and hey I will pray I will be just as good as the other players on the softball team! This is going to be great! I can't wait! I love y'all! My dream state! Ahhhhh!" I almost shouted.

It was like my whole mood change in just a few minutes! This is going to be great! I hugged them and ran upstairs while Alexis was right behind me. W

e went straight up to my room. We spend A LOT of time together! She is honestly my best friend. She's 13 and I'm 15.

Alexis has beautiful blue eyes and long dirty blonde hair. A little round nose and a round face, she's around 5'2, skinny, has braces and she's pale, not sickly pale though. She's gorgeous. On the other hand, we look nothing alike. I don't know how we are sisters. I have long brown hair, with hazel/brown eyes, perfect teeth, I'm around 5'4, skinny and I'm very tan.

Alexis hugged me and screamed as we jumped up and down like we crazy fans at a concert. We stopped and looked at each other and she shouted, "WE ARE FINALLY MOVING TO NORTH CAROLINA!" I screamed and we flew on my bed and stared at the ceiling as she asked, "Kristian. Do you think we will meet Hayes and Nash Grier?" I looked at her and said, "We can only hope."

From that day on, my family and I were packing and getting ready. We got a U-Haul to pack all of our furniture. We all pretty excited! I'm excited to see our new house, school and soon to be friends. I said goodbye to ball my friends and hope all will go well.
